the infamous 1959 Cadillac tail fins GM decided to enter the new
decade with a "bigger isn't necessary better" philosophy and the
1960 Cadillac was given a slightly less dramatic fin when compared
to the tacked on twin pod lamps used in '59. Less chrome also was
to slowly become an industry standard and it was now used primarily
as a body highlight and not purely for decoration. Powertrains
remained the same as the in '59 although this was the last year
that a 2barrel or 3x2 barrel 'Tri-Power' carburetor was offered.
This would also be the last year for the wrap around windshield
styling. In 1960 Cadillac was the ultimate GM jewel outselling
Lincoln, Chrysler amp; Imperial combined!The Harley Earl designed
Cadillac Series 62 was a large luxurious Cadillac that could easily
carry six people and had a power top, air suspension and featured a
large 6,390 cc (390 c.i.) V8 engine with drum brakes. The marque
was discontinued in 1964.This car is very striking in it's 'Red'
color paint with a beautifully original matching 'Red' color
leather interior and it's factory tonneau cover and a correct
'White' color power soft top! The floor boards, trunk and all the
typical rust-prone areas are solid and rust-free. No expense has
been spared on this car's recent preventive maintenance history and
includes being upgraded to power front disc brakes, new master
cylinder amp; booster kit, new front amp; rear shocks, replace
brake lines to split system, replace exhaust manifold, rebuild
carb, replace points amp; condenser amp; ignition coil, R amp;R
trans rear main seal, reseal steering gear box, R amp;R power
steering pump, replace wheel cylinders, new convertible top amp; 4
new 235/75R15 WW tires!The car has it's original 390 V8 engine
which is extremely strong and powerful and sounds absolutely
magnificent and this particular car also drives absolutely
magnificently - it must really be seen and driven to be fully
