From 1960 to 1984, Toyota sold the Land Cruiser J40 series as a
body on frame SUV that could handle any terrain that was thrown at
it. Slightly larger than the competing Jeep CJ models, the FJ40 was
a utilitarian SUV that appealed to a wide audience. With a storied
history of use throughout the globe, FJ40s have caught the
attention of collectors over the past several years and have become
highly sought after.
This 1966 FJ40 is an outstanding example of a recent restoration
that has taken a capable FJ and made it even better. The 3.8L
6-Cylinder motor tied to a 3-speed transmission is a joy to drive.
The blue exterior body catches your eye and is enhanced by a Safari
Snorkel, Pro-Comp alloy wheels, Pro Comp fog lights, Warn winch,
Warn locking hubs and Yokohama M/T tires. Open the door to the FJ
and you find a new tan interior with the exterior blue coloring
flowing through to the dash. This FJ is, undoubtedly, not to be
missed.
Unless stated otherwise, vehicle mileage on title is exempt and
unknown if original.
