expense spared restored 1955 Ford Thunderbird with both factory
hard top and white soft top and with factory specifications and
options including; 'Ford-o-matic' automatic transmission,
Telescopic steering, Power Steering, Power Front Disc Brakes,
fender skirts, tach, clock, power 4-way driver seat, heater and
defroster, AM radio and it's original 292 V8 4V engine and with
highly desirable and striking Thunderbird chrome wire wheels!One of
the earliest collectibles amongst post-war cars, the two seater
Thunderbirds of 1955-57 have if anything only gained in popularity
as the years have passed which inspired the tribute models built
between the years 2002-05. They were originally a sales triumph
over Chevrolet's Corvette with clean styling, creature comforts and
of course V8 refinement.This particular example was recently
restored by its previous owner in it's original factory 'Torch Red'
(color code R) color paint with matching original 'Red amp; White'
(trim code B) interior and new chrome with the engine having been
dressed and detailed! The floor boards, trunk and all the typical
rust-prone areas are solid and rust-free and the car has a very
straight body - obviously an always garaged and cherished car since
new. The car has it's original factory matching color hard top and
'White' soft top and its original 292 4V V8 engine which has been
rebuilt and upgraded with a '57 intake and Holley carburetor and
which is obviously therefore extremely strong and powerful and
sounds magnificent. The car also has been upgraded to a 12 volt
electrical system.This particular car drives absolutely
magnificently - must be driven to be fully appreciated - does not
miss a beat and purrs like a kitten - drives straight as an arrow
with no strange road wobbles, shakes or rattles - a truly
remarkable daily driver that will give any modern day sports car a
run for it's money! The transmission shifts smoothly through all
the gears and the car has four relatively new radial wide white
