For Sale: 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS in Dade City, Florida

Vehicle Description

1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Clone

BEING PAINTED!!

The first-generation Chevrolet Camaro appeared in Chevrolet dealerships in September 1966 for the 1967 model year on a brand-new rear-wheel drive GM F-body platform and was available as a 2-door, 2+2 seat, hardtop or convertible, with the choice of either a straight-six or V8 engine. The first-generation Camaro was built through the 1969 model year.

All the resemblance to a stock powered Camaro ends with the 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 clone we have here at Classic Vintage Exchange.

If you want a street/strip muscle car Camaro, then look no farther than the 1968 we have. It is not only good looking but has all the right parts that a true performance Camaro should have.

Ours has a built, less than 500 miles, 396 cubic inch big block Chevy engine in it with chrome open element air cleaner, chrome Moroso big block valve covers, aluminum performance intake, Hooker exhaust headers, performance Holley 4150 carb, performance electronics and plug wires, brand new clutch, pressure plate, and throw-out bearing, and more.

The block is painted in the correct factory shade of orange and sits in a great engine compartment with an electric cooling fan, chrome alternator, performance water pump, with the power managed by a Borg-Warner T-10 4-speed manual transmission and the 12-bolt rear end with the new Auburn Posi unit and 3:50 gears.

The suspension is also redone with all new shocks, ball joints, tie rods and bushings, a new power steering unit with a new gear box, idler arm, and drag link, welded subframe for drag racing, traction bars with rubber snubbers, and rides on 4 brand new Nitto tires and 15“ aluminum racing wheels.

All the suspension components have been cleaned, detailed, and painted and it has a dual exhaust system with dumps running under the car.

The interior is mostly stock and original with the twin black bucket seats, door panels, and carpet, with the stock factory dash and gauges that work with the new cluster circuit board, 4-speed shifter on the floor, a tack, sport steering wheel, and you have the recipe for one cool Camaro.

The styling of the 1968 Camaro has Astro Ventilation, a fresh-air-inlet system where the side vent windows were deleted. It has a more pointed front grille and divided rear taillights, SS gas cap, it looks great.

The exterior is driver quality painted in grey with good chrome bumpers and trim, cowl induction steel hood, D80 full-width rear spoiler, and a great stance with the big and little tires and stance.

If you ever wanted an affordable 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 clone with a great combination of looks, power, dependability, and value, then you need to come see this one we have here at Classic Vintage Exchange.
