This is a genuine Swinger 340 with #s matching perf 340, trans,
rear and colors. Decoded by Galena Govier and listed in his
registry. Very desirable factory air, power steering and power disc
brakes. California built, virgin metal. I believe it to be 55,500
actual miles, it has all the characteristics of a low mile
sweetheart. Everything works including the air!
EXTERIOR: Repainted in it's original B3 light blue metallic. The
body on this car is exceptionally clean. It is absolutely straight,
smooth as silk even all along the bottoms. The wheel well lips are
spotless, bottom lip on the quarter panels has the factory dimples
and tabs. I am amazed and impressed at how well the doors shut,
like a new car. All the body gaps are spot on. It is a Swinger 340
so it has the twin raised hood bulges with 340 four barrel emblems.
This one also has fender mounted turn signals. Up front the bumper
has been rechromed, the grill is good original. The original
antenna is shiny. New windshield, all trim around the windows and
the vent window pillars are very nice. In back the taillights are
very nice, bumper was rechromed. The paint is laid out very nicely.
The clear coat looks so deep like you could stick your arm right
into it. It is very glossy. No vinyl top, new bumblebee stripe
around the tail end. Upgraded BFG radial redline tires on painted
rims and a nice set of poverty hubcaps. The weatherstrips are real
nice.
INTERIOR: It is very tidy inside. The dash pad looks new. The
instrument panel is excellent, knobs, lenses, gauges are real nice.
I just noticed the light over the key actually works, that's a
rarity. It still has the original am radio. The factory chrome air
conditioning vents are mounted below the dash. Glovebox is clean,
the light works. Actually all the interior lights work. The
steering wheel is mint. It has a rubber mat on the floor, seat
belts front and back. The two tone blue upholstery is excellent.
Headliner is tight as a drum, visors are real nice. Door panels are
excellent. This is really a very clean, unabused interior.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Original vin # matching performance 340 motor.
The original fender tag is still in place, it was decoded by Mopar
guru Galen Govier. The # on the core support matches the vin. This
engine bay has spotless metal, no signs of rust or damage. It's all
painted very smooth and glossy like the outside of the car. The
engine is meticulously painted, has all the stock manifolds, valve
covers, air cleaner etc It is upgraded with an Edelbrock 4 barrel
with electric choke. The alternator is new, air conditioning dryer
is new. Everything is hooked up properly, wiper motor is clean,
squirters are hooked up, horns are hooked up. It has original
radiator and hose clamps. The battery is bolted down properly and
has reproduction battery topper, new cables.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: I open the trunk to find a nice car cover and a
trunk light that works. It has a new plaid mat. Under the mat it is
immaculate original metal with glossy blue paint. Also a redline
spare that has never been used, it still has the ink stamps on the
tread. The jack is mint and properly mounted. Inside the quarters,
they are clean original. Under the trunk lid and the jamb are
painted glossy. It has a new decal and weatherstrip.
UNDERSIDE: The Swinger 340 includes heavy duty springs, torsion
bars, shocks and a front swaybar. The front end has been gone
through, several components look recent. Front and rear shocks are
replaced. Looking up at the engine it is very clean, the starter is
new. The Torqueflite automatic also looks clean, it is vin #
matched to the car. Original 3.23 rear end. You know what's most
impressive under this car? The metal. Absolutely rust free original
metal. Look behind the rear tires, the lower inner quarters are
perfectly preserved. The brakes have been redone, disc in front.
Recent dual exhaust with chrome tips.
Now that I've been in and out of this car I am really impressed.
Very honest, unabused car. It looks, feels and functions close to
new. This is how we all hope to find them. Not to mention the list
of desirable features and its a documented, #s matching car!
