Body & Paint: The body and paint on the car are in very good
condition. The panels align nicely and there the paint has been
recently touched up that shows very nice in the light green
metallic color that matches the original paint code of the car.
Engine & Transmission: The Cougar holds a 302ci V8 engine with a 3
speed manual transmission that are both believed to be original to
the car. The car runs great and holds straight and steady going
down the road! The clutch appears to have been updated, but we're
unable to tell if the motor has any other work done due to the lack
of documentation/history on the car.
Interior: The interior of the car looks great! A reconditioned dash
pad and the rest of the green interior looks as it would have out
of the factory!
Wheels & Tires: The Mercury is sitting on 17in American Racing
Wheels with disc brakes in the front and drum brakes in the
rear.
Suspension: The car rides on what appears to be its stock
suspension system.
Electrical: Everything in the Cougar appears to work as it
should.
Glass: The glass on the car all the way around is in excellent
condition with no cracks or scratches.
History: We acquired the Cougar from a private seller out of
Wisconsin. No other documentation was provided with the
vehicle.
Location: This car is now located at Blackhawk Motors along with
our wide selection of beautiful classic cars in our showroom! We
are located at 1341 Estes Street Gurnee, IL 60031.
