Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: Gorgeous red on red! Classic C1 Corvette! 4-speed and
327 V8! High-quality classic driver!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and straight, and really looks
fantastic. Imperfections are at a minimum, even though this car
does appear to be an older restoration. The underside is very
clean, and all of the metal appears to be very solid.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: As mentioned above, this 1962 Corvette
does appear to be an older restoration. However, the red paint
still has a brilliant shine to it and ensures this car will garner
attention anywhere you take it! While there are some minor signs of
age and use, the paint is in good condition and should hold up for
years to come.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: Much like the exterior, the interior
is in great condition showing minor signs of wear and age. The red
vinyl is a classic choice for this C1 Corvette, accented and set
off by the white vinyl convertible top. Besides, how can you not
love that classic C1 steering wheel/gauge cluster combo?
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is a period-correct 1962 4-bbl,
manual transmission 327.
The 327V8 runs great and fires right off with a twist of the key.
It jumps right into a smooth idle, and the exhaust sounds great! It
is not too loud, but more of a factory-style rumble. The
transmission shifts smoothly and the reverse lockout works
properly. This car is a blast to drive!
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The great condition plus the
striking red on red!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If you don't like red, you may
want to consider a different vehicle.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Being an older restoration, this Corvette
will need a few items addressed. The radio, emergency brake, and
heater are not currently operational. The tires have great tread
and no leaks, but they are showing signs of tread separation on the
inside sidewall and could stand to be replaced if the next buyer
intends to drive this car regularly.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for an
affordable, eye-catching, iconic C1 Corvette should be considering
this one!
