For Sale: 1972 Ford Mustang in Concord, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

It's hard not to fall in love/lust with a classic muscle car that has these kinds of awesome updates. This 1972 Ford Mustang Mach 1 has a bright red gloss that makes people take notice. But what they really want to see is the fresh presentation of the fuel-injected 429 V8 under the hood. And you're in full control of this powerful pony thanks to upgrades like a five-speed manual transmission and four-wheel disc brakes.

Bright red follows the great tradition of hot Mustangs in bold colors. Of course, this appeal is heightened further by a true Mach 1. It has the aggressive look with the NACA ram air hood on a blacked-out treatment that matches the full stripe package. Plus, with the deep chin spoiler and a full-width one out back, this one has sporty black accents from every angle. The Mach 1 had less brightwork than many other 1970s machines, which gives it a distinct look in modern time. It makes touches stand out more like the large dual exhaust tips, rear bumper, and classic Magnum 500 wheels with pony center caps.

The exterior is red with black accenting; the interior is black with just a hint of aggressive red streaking across the great-looking seats. Plus, the carpeting, headliner, and dash all have the nice look of a well-done coupe. You see plenty of vintage style in this one everywhere from the crisp/clean gauges to the factory AM/FM radio that's still cranking out tunes. But you absolutely know this is an upgraded machine, too. They have nicely integrated features like the auxiliary gauge trio and Hurst shifter. And that Holley Sniper EFI display screen integrated into the center console is an instant indicator of something extra special under the hood.

Big blocks were off the menu by 1972, but don't tell this one about that. The callouts on the hood and the air grabber weren't lying, and so you have Ford's mighty 429 cubic-inch V8 under the hood. They knew you were going to want to show this off, and so it's an ultra-tidy presentation that lets people see the bold blue block, Ford racing valve covers, and the air grabber that properly seals to the ram air hood. And the upgrade to electronic fuel injection means the best power and consistency to this awesome big block. This is part of a great street/strip package that includes an upgrade to a versatile five-speed manual transmission. This feeds a stout Ford 9-inch rear with 4.10 gears for quick take-offs. The suspension has a fresh look to give you confidence out on the road. Plus, there's power steering and Wilwood four-wheel power disc brakes with drilled & slotted rotors.

The sale comes complete with classic pieces, like the warranty card and owner's manual packet. It reminds you that this upgraded coupe is still a classic pony. Don't miss this awesome big block Mach 1. Call now!
