The Roush-enhanced and specially-prepared Mustangs are among the most radical professionally upgraded versions of the production car. A customer initially orders his new Mustang from a local Ford dealer with his choice of factory options and colors. After assembly, the new car was sent direct to Roush in Michigan for whichever level of their modifications were chosen.
The Stage 3 included a 727-horsepower, DOHC supercharged 5.0 engine, beefed-up half-shafts (rated for 800 hp), 3.73 Torsen limited-slip diff, oversize radiator and 6-piston Brembo calipers. Added Roush options included forged 20” wheels, active exhaust with Borla resonator, bodyside & quarter-window scoops, hood heat extractors and Roush badging.
In fact, this car is very unique, since there were only 17 cars built in Competition Orange, only three with black side stripes and only one with these wheels!
Desirable factory options on this car included the GT Premium group with Shaker 1000 sound system, voice-activated navigation plus blind-spot & cross-traffic warnings. Among the custom-added features are LED interior & exterior lighting upgrades. In sum, this is an exceptionally well-optioned, ultra-high-performance car that’s a one-of-one in specification.
