Vehicle Description
When you want to outclass Batman and a normal S-Class Merc just
doesn't cut it for you, a special limited-edition car like this
2017 Mercedes-Benz S550 4Matic "Night Edition" is just what the
doctor ordered. With a 4.7L BiTurbo, a sinister Selenite Grey matte
paint job with special exterior features, and all the luxury
features you could wish for, this is the modern car that does it
all. With an original MSRP of $140k, don't quibble over the price;
if you're a player, this car should be in your garage.
With just 40,457 miles on the odometer and legendary Mercedes-Benz
build quality, this is in many ways like a new car. Forget for a
moment that it's celebrating its 4th birthday and instead realize
that when it was new and being featured at the Detroit Auto Show,
the price tag was 140K before the dealer's got their reservation
fees. And this stunning coupe is still just as fast, just as
beautiful, just as intimidating, it's just tens of thousands of
dollars cheaper. Cool, right? The special-edition Designo Selenite
Grey Magno matte finish paint shows you what a six-figure price tag
would buy you, and as an Night Edition model, it got the blackout
treatment to really make it stand out. With sport body styling, a
blacked-out panoramic glass roof, and contrasting high-sheen gloss
black finish on the radiator grille, side mirror housing, and
side-skirt inlays, not to mention the oversized AMG wheels, this
coupe looks like a tuxedoed prize fighter. The arching hardtop
styling is really Merc at it's best and this car still looks like
nothing else on the road, so if you want to push lesser traffic out
of the way, just come pounding up in this sinister Night Edition
hammer with your Swarovski crystal headlamps on and watch them
scatter. There are very few signs of use, really only a couple very
minor road chips that take a keen eye to spot up close, but
otherwise it exemplifies Mercedes-Benz's commitment to excellence
everywhere you look. With just a few flashes of chrome and shiny
bits - the most important being the big Merc star fore and aft, the
'Night Edition' emblems on the fenders, and badging at the rear -
this car is the epitome of good taste.
The interior is, of course, black Nappa leather, and it, too, looks
like it's been sitting in the showroom and never used. A total time
warp, even the driver's seat fails to show any appreciable wear, as
if the person that drove this car wore a hazmat suit every time
out. Normally featuring lots of stylish real wood, those burled
wood trim pieces were all finished in high-gloss-black, and the way
the halo lighting kit bounces off the panels is simply stunning.
The quality is tangible in everything you can see or touch, with
the Night Edition steering wheel anchoring the cockpit inside.
Mercedes shook off its staid, conservative look for their 6th
generation cars, so you get a swooping dash full of informative
gauges, grippy bucket seats, and a list of modern luxury features
as long as your arm. The list includes automatic climate control,
power seats with heating/ventilation/massage settings, locks,
mirrors, and windows, automatic tilt steering, and Mercedes' Comand
infotainment and cockpit management system that handles pretty much
everything that this car can do. In fact, our list of features is
an incredibly short summary of all the amazing things this coupe
comes loaded with, so give us a call for the long run-down.
Everything works like it should (this is a Mercedes, after all) and
if you want to feel like a grown-up, just try driving this car to
work every day and watch what happens. There's a reasonably
spacious back seat and a good-sized trunk, making this
Autobahn-stormer the ultimate road trip machine.
Most of that is due to the 4.7L V8 BiTurbo engine making 445
horsepower and 516 pounds of torque. That's the kind of torque that
makes fighter pilots jealous and puts everything within reach, and
gives this coupe a stellar 0-60 MPH time of 4.5 seconds. Small gap
up ahead? No problem. Pesky kid in a Camaro next to you? Goodbye.
The effect is addicting, as if you're attached to a giant recoiling
rubber band and it feels like it could accelerate forever. Of
course, when you're just trundling around, it's docile and
invisible and the 9-speed 9G-TRONIC transmission is smooth and
unobtrusive. The suspension was worked over by the AMG wizards,
too, and comes loaded with Merc's 4Matic all-wheel drive system, so
it's compliant but competent and the brakes are truly massive to
stop this coupe on a dime. It's incredibly safe too, with all the
modern safety features that has made Mercedes a world-leader in
customer confidence out on the roads. Custom black 20-inch AMG
wheels were part of the package and look awesome wrapped in
245/40/20 front and 275/35/20 rear performance rubber.
With just 40k miles, a clean CarFax, and offered with all of its
original manuals, this incredible Mercedes Night Edition hammer
represents mammoth bang for the buck. Call today!
