Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1965 Chevrolet Corvette
Sting Ray Convertible. Simply stunning in Nassau Blue over blue
vinyl interior with a white soft top, this is a nicely restored
example that never fails to turn heads. Attractive paint and body
with excellent bumpers, trim, side pipes and glass. Knock-off
wheels are very nice aftermarket replicas wearing period-correct
Firestone bias-ply super sports.
Correct to the trim tag inside and out, interior shows well with
good carpets, door panels, dash and seat upholstery. Gauges are
clear and working with the exception of the clock. Gorgeous
teakwood steering wheel. All lights and switches are working
properly and the hideaway headlights have been converted from
vacuum to electric motors for reliable operation.
Under the hood is the most potent small-block V8 Chevrolet offered
outside of a fuelie - a numbers-matching 327 / 365 hp L76 mated to
a four-speed manual transmission. Runs well and pull strong
throughout the rev range; clutch and gearbox feel great. Tidy and
correct under the hood with original Holley 2818-1 four-barrel
carburetor. Current collector-owner of nearly a decade recently
undertook a full brake system overhaul and suspension refresh.
This C2 and drives exceptionally well and feels very "put together"
- we actually prefer the better feedback through the wheel of the
non-power-steering cars (power steering was not available with the
365 hp engine option). And the factory four-wheel disc brakes
provide excellent stopping authority even without power assist.
This Corvette is a thrill to drive - looks great, runs great,
sounds great - and it would be a welcome addition to any
collection. For more information about this 1965 Corvette for sale
