convertible featured in Scorch Red with White vinyl interior and
White convertible top. This is one of only 700 69 GTX convertibles,
524 of which had the 440 motor fitted, and only 178 were 4-Speed
manual gearbox cars. The car was fully restored in 2007 with fresh
cosmetics and mechanical rebuild. The matching number engine was
rebuilt to stock with a slightly hotter street cam and 906 heads.
Cosmetically this car Is absolutely beautiful. It retains all of
it's orginal steel panels Including Trunk and floor pans. All of
the stainless trim is polished to show standards and all the chrome
was redone. Factory options on this car include the 440CI/375HP V8,
4-Speed, 3.54 Dana rear, Premium trim with bucket seats and console
with woodgrain, power brakes, belt and body side moldings, white
longitudinal stripes, 26 radiator and AM radio. The build date was
11/06/68, the engine casting date is 10/28/68, and the transmission
is a date-code correct warranty item. Everything on the fender tag
decodes correctly and the car is presented authentically as it was
originally built. This is a superb and well-sorted example of MoPar
muscle that you can drive or show with pride.
