EXTERIOR: Repainted it's original Camaro Gold color with black
stripes. It has front and rear spoilers and the very desirable
Rally Sport which includes the split bumper front end with extended
grill. The body shows really well, it is very straight, the panels
fit really well. The paint is glossy and laid out beautifully, the
stripes are painted on smooth. It does have a few flaws that are
pointed out in our video. Up front the grill, bumpers, headlight
bezels look very nice. In back the bumper and taillights are very
nice. Door jambs are painted really well, weatherstrips and window
seals have been replaced. Sill plates are new. Correct 15" Rally
wheels look like they've been restored, new trim and center caps.
BFG tires look new.
INTERIOR: Very nice as I look all around inside the car. In front
of me is a new dash pad that fits good. The instrument panel looks
like it's new because the chrome trim is sparkling. Lenses are
clear, gauges look excellent. A retro stereo fits in the factory
hole. There is an auxiliary cord in the console, 6x9 speakers in
back, 1,000 watt amp and a capacitor in the trunk. The console is
also in excellent shape, there is a Hurst shifter sticking up out
of it. New reproduction steering wheel. Overhead the headliner
looks new, it has the shoulder belts, dome light works. Behind the
rear deck, plastic side panels are mint. The upholstery looks new.
The door panel inserts are new,, the plastic is very good original.
New carpet and embroidered Z-28 floor mats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Correct LT-1 350 motor. The casting codes,
casting dates are correct on the block, heads, aluminum intake and
bellhousing. The carb is from a 1971 Corvette. The entire engine
compartment is clean and proper. All the components look nice-
brake booster is cadmium plated, the master cylinder looks new, the
wiper motor has all the hoses hooked up for the squirters, power
steering his new lines, clutch fan and shroud look proper. The
alternator is new. The correct dual snorkel air cleaner looks new,
it has correct finned valve covers. The cowl tag says 28 19, the 28
means Z-28, 19 means black stripes which only came on a Z-28.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Good solid trunk floor, very nicely spatter
painted. New rubber mat. The bottom of the trunk lid and the jamb
are painted glossy like the car. The weather strip was
replaced.
UNDERSIDE: Looking up at the motor it is clean. The Muncie 4-speed
is clean looking. The 12 bolt rear end is the original with a
special ordered 4.10 posi gear and a chrome cover. The exhaust is
reproduction with transverse muffler. It has newer Bilstein gas
shocks. The front end components look good. It has disc brakes in
front, e-brake cables are hooked up. The floors look very
clean.
The 70 RS Z-28s are highly collectable. This is a very good example
of one! There is an original brochure, assembly manuals,
reproduction window sticker included with the car.
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
