Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS tribute gets the big things right
with the bold paint and muscular motor. But this was restored
within the last couple of years to also make sure you love the
details - right down the clean/fresh sports suspension.
The desire for this one starts with the paint. Cranberry Red is a
1970-correct color that immediately commands attention - exactly
what you want on a big block coupe. This spirit is amplified thanks
to a more recent application where the modern luster looks terrific
in the sunshine. And those iconic black SS stripes were added
before the clearcoat, which means the panels have a smooth look.
There are plenty of sporty details with the cowl induction hood,
hood pins, proper Super Sport badging, and wide dual exhaust tips.
Good chrome bumpers and complete trim make for a well-done
brightwork package. And the ideas of power and shine come together
on the upgraded American Racing Torq Thrust wheels that have a
polished look and a 17/18 inch front/rear aggressive stance.
A muscle car like this deserves a clean and mean black interior.
The headliner, carpeting, and upholstery all feel fresh from the
right investments. This was part of this coupe's transformation
later in life, and so they took the time to give you all the best
pieces. This means bucket seats up front, a center console
in-between and a horseshoe floor shifter for you to grab. And the
dual-spoke steering wheel gives you a clear view to the sporty full
round gauge cluster. And more than just a great SS style, you'll
love this hardtop for its vintage details. It still has the little
things, like the controls for the factory air conditioning
(components and servicing will be needed to return the function),
and the trunk has the correct mat with spatter paint
underneath.
Under the hood is plenty of big block power. This is a
fresh-looking 402 cubic-inch V8 that includes the bold orange block
and big shining Chevrolet valve covers. It's built with the best
performance pieces, too, like a Holley four-barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock air-gap intake, MSD coil, and long tube headers that feed
the dual exhaust. Don't just listen to this one growl; follow those
pipes in the undercarriage photos. There you'll find a very fresh
look with great features like newer bushings, reinforced trailing
arms, and thick sway bars front & rear. It's the kind of investment
that will give you added confidence in this coupe. Plus, you have
more great driving features, like a three-speed automatic
transmission, power steering, power brakes w/front discs, and
grippy modern tires afforded by the wheel upgrade.
Slick, power, and fresh - it all makes for an awesome hardtop
muscle car classic. So don't miss this restored Chevelle. Call
