This amazing 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 w/ 483 street original miles is the famous Tony Pizzi Camaro. It has one ownership history until 2018, original documentation, original color combination, original drivetrain, many original parts, race history and the Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance LLC certification. The NCRS Shipping Data Report, original Protecto Plate, original selling dealer key chain and original owners “Statement Under Oath” report dated September 21st, 2018 are included. This car was a National NHRA Record Holder in ET and MPH documented as of April 1972. This is documented in the April 1972 issue of Super Stock and Drag Illustrated magazine which is included. This car was the product of a show quality rotisserie restoration that was completed in 2020. It retains most of the original sheet metal and many original parts throughout. The original color combination of the Rally Green w/ white stripes exterior and black interior is beautiful. The black interior is mostly original. The car is powered by the original matching numbers DZ302 V8 and M21 4-speed manual transmission. This car was certified on May 21st, 2020 by Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance LLC and the report is included. This is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity to own an amazing Z28.

As the original VIN number indicates this car was built in Norwood, OH as a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Coupe with an 8 cylinder engine. As the original trim tag indicates this car was built in Norwood, OH on the first week of May. It also indicates it was built as a Z28 that was Rallye Green with black standard bucket interior. As the original Chevrolet New Vehicle Warranty and Owner Protection Plan booklet documents this car was sold to Americo A. Liberatore Jr on June 9th, 1969 by Weed Chevrolet located in Bristol, PA. This booklet and metal card is better known as the Protecto Plate. This information is also documented on the NCRS Shipping Data Report which also indicates that the GM official production date was May 12th, 1969. All of these items were certified as authentic by Camaro expert Jerry MacNeish of Camaro Hi-Performance. The Protecto Plate, NCRS Shipping Date Report and Jerry MacNeish’s report are included. An original key chain from Weed Chevrolet is also included. The clean Pennsylvania title is in the second owners name and shows 469 miles. Since MS CLASSIC CARS is a dealer the new owner with officially be the third owner.

The exterior of this car is absolutely beautiful in every sense of the word. The rotisserie restoration was completed in 2020 so it looks fresh. The body is really straight and the body gaps are very nice throughout. It’s equipped with a flat hood, front spoiler and rear spoiler. The hood, doors and deck lid close very nicely. The car was finished in its original color of Rally Green with white racing stripes. The paint is beautiful and has been detailed to a show quality shine. Magnetic decals were made to look as close to the original decals as possible when the car was raced. The outer edges were then painted the color of the car so they would look like they were painted permanent. These can be applied and taken off anytime. This was an excellent idea the second owner had when doing the restoration. All of the glass was replaced new during the restoration. Everything on the exterior was replaced or restored such as the window trim, wipers, driver’s side door mirror, front grill, headlight bezels, headlights, parking lights, front bumper, door handles, lower side molding, rear taillights and rear bumper. The keys work the door locks and trunk lock. The car sits on the correct 15” Rally style wheels. The wheels are wrapped with new Firestone Sport Car 200 E70-15 4-ply tires.

The interior of this car is in beautiful condition throughout. It retains most of the original black interior with exception of the door panels and carpeting. As stated in Jerry MacNeish’s report, “excellent original interior, door panels and carpet were replaced, code #711, no console or gauges.” Even the steering wheel is original. MS CLASSIC CARS replaced the dash pad with a reproduction dash pad. The one that was on there didn’t fit well and looked bad. This interior is actually nicer than most restored interiors. It’s hard to imagine this interior is 51 years old.  As mentioned above it was ordered with limited options so it has no clock, radio or console. The headliner is tight and the dome light works. The dash pad, dash, dash hardware, gauges, steering column, steering wheel, door panels, door hardware, Hurst shifter, bucket seats, rear seat and seat belts are all in great condition. Everything in the interior is in working order including the heating system. The original odometer currently reads 483 miles. The trunk compartment was nicely restored with the correct style trunk mat and spare tire cover. The car still retains the original spare wheel and tire!

The engine compartment is highly detailed throughout. As stated on Jerry’s report, “Very good, engine bay restored to new as delivered original condition.” Some items would need to be corrected if it was going to be judged which are outlined on Jerrys report. Everything in the engine compartment has been restored or replaced such as the hood insulation, hood springs, wiper motor, wiring, radiator, battery, alternator, etc. The radiator shroud is original to the car. It does have some light scratches but was used to keep some of the originality. The car is powered by its original matching numbers DZ302 V8. As stated in Jerry MacNeish’s report, “V0425DZ assembly date, 302-290hp V8 engine, #618 casting, cast A169, vin stamp on oil filter boss, original to vehicle.” This engine was completely rebuilt during the restoration and it runs excellent. The engine breathes through the correct style factory exhaust manifolds and exhaust system. It sounds super sweet especially when driving it. The engine is coupled to the original 4-speed manual transmission. As stated in Jerry MacNeish’s report, “P9D29B assembly date, M21 Muncie 4-speed, #660 case, vin stamp is 475 units off, factory error, original to car.” The transmission was gone through and shifts beautifully. The power is transferred to the 12-bolt rear axle. As stated on Jerry MacNeish’s report, “BM0927G1 assembly date, replacement 12-bolt rear axle, #860NF casting, originally equipped with axle code BU0403G.” This car performs excellent and has been dialed in mechanically by MS CLASSIC CARS.

The undercarriage is also highly detailed throughout. The undercarriage is nice enough to put mirrors underneath at a car show. As stated on Jerry’s report, “Solid original floors in very good condition, minor dents, no rust issues.” The undercarriage was finished in the correct shade of black with the correct overspray. Everything underneath was restored or replaced such as the steering system, suspension components, braking system and fuel system. It still retains the original front brake calipers and rotors!
