History About Porsche's Boxster Model:
Being one of the first convertible-only concepts since Porsche
designed the 914, the new mid-engine Boxster landed on showrooms in
mid-1996 and become Porsche's best seller for the next 7 years,
only being outsold by their Cayenne SUV introduced in 2003. These
ultra-sporty platforms are a true delight to drive! The mid-engine
layout provides a low center of gravity, a near-perfect weight
distribution, and ideal handling in all driving situations. The
early versions were supplied a 2.5L horizontally opposed,
water-cooled 6 cylinder engine to produce 201 horsepower and 181
ft. lbs. of torque! Not at all shabby considering it could push the
Porsche to 60mph in just 6.7 seconds and with a top speed of 149mph
with the 5-speed manual transmission! In todays market, they
present a huge value for the investment!

water-cooled engine, 5-speed manual transmission, 18" Turbo-Look
wheels, automatic climate control system, CDR-220 AM/FM/CD audio
system, leather-wrapped steering wheel & shift knob, power
windows/mirrors/locks/convertible top, cruise control, telescopic
steering column, rear defrost, and carpeted floor mats. Currently,
the odometer reading shows 73,354 miles enjoyed thus far!
The most recent owner of the past 11 years purchased the car in
September 2009 with only 37,779 miles, and enjoyed it sparingly
during the warmer driving season offered to us here in St. Louis,
Missouri. He was steadfast with routine maintenance and servicing
and included 60K Service with new spark plugs at 61,330 miles in
2012. A new serpentine belt, idler pulleys & belt tensioner, new
fuel filter, new front strut/shock absorber assembles, bump stops,
bearings, and boots; new Micheline Pilot Super Sport tires, 4-wheel
alignment, inner tie rods with boots, rear stabilizer links,
coolant reservoir, coolant cap, fresh coolant, along with all new
front and rear brake pads/rotors were all replaced in 2013 when the
odometer read 67,059 miles. A new alternator was installed in 2014
at 70,665 miles, and new engine thermostat with new air bleeder
valve in 2015. Recent servicing upon arrival to our facility
included an oil change with filter, new engine air filter, tire
balancing, and an overall complete detail and polish.
This beautiful Porsche example continues to be a remarkably fun and
exciting car to drive! It will come with original owner's manual,
one key, WeatherTech floor mats, factory tool kit, service records
back to 2009, clean CarFax report, and two Porsche storage covers.
