For Sale: 1961 Nash Metropolitan in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania

$15,000 (OBO)

Vehicle Description

For your consideration is a beautiful 1961 Metropolitan that has been restored.  If you’re looking for a correctly restored, reliable and fun Metropolitan, keep reading.  Below I will go through the condition of the car.

Exterior:  Finished in its original colors of Sunburst Yellow and white, the paint in very good condition. The body work and paint have been done at a professional level.  The trim glass and lenses are all in good condition. Some of the trim under the front grille has some pitting.  It is not very noticeable unless you get up and close to the front of the lower grille.

Interior:  It is simple, clean and functional! The seat feels firm, heat works, indicators work. The speedometer does not work right now but it does come with a new cable.  The doors open and close very nicely, the windows go up and down as they should!

Underside:  Nice, no signs of accidents or corrosion.  This is a very nice solid car!

Mechanical:  This is one of the easiest starting Metropolitans we have seen!  It starts super quickly, idles nice, and pulls VERY STRONG!  The transmission and clutch operate perfectly and smooth! The car stops, handles, steers and rides very nicely. This car is a dream to drive.  It is currently female owned and she gets in and drives it like a modern car, its mechanically sorted very well!
