This 1946 Chevrolet 3100 pickup has an all-steel body that's been
meticulously restored back to the factory original condition. The
body is rock-solid with great fitment of all the panels. All of the
chrome and brightwork has been carefully refurbished, resulting in
a clean presentation of the early Chevrolet pickup truck. No detail
was overlooked as seen in the correct body-color steel wheels with
twin pinstripes and NOS hubcaps mounted on Firestone four-ply
polyester cord wide whitewall tires. Even the matching side-mounted
spare tire is period-correct. The fully restored interior features
a reupholstered bench seat and the correct steering column and
wheel, complete with column-mounted turn signal indicator system.
Under the hood, the nicely detailed engine bay houses the Blue
Flame 235ci 6-cylinder inline engine mated to a 3-speed manual
transmission. Other features include a modern air-conditioning
system, chrome bumpers, dual wipers, manual choke, painted wood bed
floor, chrome exhaust tip, chrome fender-mounted turn signal
indicators, chrome exterior mirror, floor-mounted starter,
floor-mounted parking brake, vinyl flooring, and temperature,
battery, oil and fuel gauges. The underside of this pickup is every
bit as clean as the top and retains the stock front end, as well as
the stock rear end equipped with factory-correct leaf springs.
