Vehicle Description
It's time to think outside the box! This awesome pickup, founded on
original, 1960s Ford steel, was custom-built for the gearhead who
loves the style of modern street rodding, but thinks red, yellow
and black coupes are just a bit too ordinary. As it sits, this
fully restored F100 is primed for cruising.... QUICK cruising,
since the truck's smooth drivetrain feeds aftermarket overdrive
with a whopping 510 cubic inches of big Ford power! Looking for a
cool old hot rod to parade up and down Main Street? Yearning for a
completely unique custom with solid reliability and great
athleticism? Step right up and sit right down in your next
classic!
SLAMMED STUNNER
Making the best of Ford's elegant mid-60s proportions, this
tastefully resto-modded F-Series splits a slick combination of
white and charcoal two-stage along prominent, retro chic body
lines. That crisp pigment highlights a solid body, which is the
result of a ground-up, custom build that likely took years to
finish. That clean body's top-notch metalwork is, from the outside
of its panels, completely undetectable. And best of all, those
panels remain mostly as Dearborn designed them, with nothing
frenched, filled or altered in any awkward way.
That said, there are some cool details that really make this build
pop! The swagger begins with a polished factory grille, which hangs
modern headlights between a smoothed bumper, polished parking lamps
and polished "FORD" lettering. Behind that grille, a "V8" branded
hood points strategic louvers at a smoked greenhouse, which centers
a sliding rear window behind muted wipers and polished mirrors. At
the sides of that glass, the truck's buff profile floats
traditional Custom Cab door handles above shaved fenders and
attractive factory spears. In the middle of that profile, a
professionally-fabricated tonneau seals flush over widened wheel
wells, which are artfully integrated into a lined and carpeted bed.
And at the back of that bed, a custom roll pan frames
stainless-trimmed taillights and a familiar "FORD" branded tailgate
that's finished with a polished handle.
460: BORED AND STROKED
Logging less than 1,000 miles since its 2019 completion, this
classic features 510 cubic inches of big Ford power that pulls hard
and sounds mean! At the top of that fully sorted mill, a choice
March Grande air cleaner feeds oxygen to a muted throttle body
that's wired with FAST electronic fuel injection. Air and fuel make
their way through a slick Edelbrock RPM Air Gap intake, which rides
between lightweight Edelbrock Performer RPM heads. Those heads tilt
polished valve covers and a duo of muted breathers over a hot
Edelbrock cam that helps push stout 10 to 1 compression. A proven
MSD Pro-Billet distributor sequences fire between a fresh MSD
Blaster 2 coil and loomed Taylor plug wires. Coated headers look
great caging a clean, Satin Black block. A flashy March serpentine
drive spins a polished Tuff Stuff alternator opposite a polished AC
compressor. A polished Be Cool radiator is paired with
chrome-trimmed SPAL puller fans and a polished Be Cool expansion
tank. And the truck's svelte engine bay is dotted with choice
pieces like dressed hoses, coated hinges and a trusty Wilwood
master cylinder.
YES, IT HAS AIR
Bottom-side, torque flows to a smooth C6 3-speed that's
supplemented with a tough Gear Vendors overdrive. That transmission
spins a requisite 9-inch axle that's finished with easy, 3.08
gears. That pumpkin pushes a heavily massaged chassis, which backs
a full suite of tubular control arms with fully adjustable RideTech
ShockWaves. Turns are achieved with power rack-and-pinion steering.
Stops are provided by 4-piston Wilwood calipers, which grab a
quartet of drilled and slotted rotors. Large-diameter, Mandrel-bent
pipes join rowdy mufflers with an X-shaped crossover. And
everything rolls on sweet Boyd Coddington V-Twins, which spin
265/35ZR19 Michelin Pilot Super Sports in front of 345/30ZR20
Michelin Pilot Super Sports.
AIR IN HERE TOO
Take one look through the doors of this stunning Ford and you'll
gain a whole new appreciation for the truck's Custom Cab door
handles. The star of the show is suede and Ultraleather TMI buckets
that, along with a custom console and clean TMI door panels,
definitely up the style quotient. Those components coordinate
nicely with a color-keyed dash, which props classy Auto Meter
telemetry next to cool Vintage Air climate control. Fade-free
carpet, protected by Ford-themed mats, frames a trick shifter and
billet foot pedals under a custom headliner. Convenience features
include a FAST programmer, a RideTech programmer and a modern
Pioneer head unit that blasts crisp Polk Audio speakers. And the
driver traces the asphalt through a polished and half-wrapped
steering wheel that laps a polished, tilting column.
Looking for a unique classic that mixes a great restoration with
unmatched style and instant fun? Then this Ford is your idea of a
great time! It's spectacular from every angle. It plays to a level
of nostalgia that everyone can appreciate. And, whether you're
setting up at a show or just spending Saturday afternoon on the
town, it's guaranteed to be the center of attention!
