1978 Datsun 280Z, Excellent condition. I have owned this car for
four years and driven it approximately 5,000 miles with very few
issues. It has a known history, no damage history and no rust.
Overall condition is excellent. Paint and body are excellent. The
car was repainted in 1989 at 72,000 miles in original Datsun
Sterling Silver #306. One very minor blemish on the right front
portion of the hood where previous owner closed the hood on the
removed oil cap that was sitting on the radiator ( a common z car
malady). Very faint swirl marks near rear hatch latch. I bought the
car locally and over time have updated and improved a few things. I
have swapped the original 3 speed automatic transmission, with a
five speed manual from a 1980 ZX. The donor transmission was
rebuilt and installed by a local specialty transmission shop. I
also installed a set of 240z bumpers to replace the heavy 5 mph
bumpers that came with all 75-78 Z cars. The car has been lowered
one inch (springs) and has all urethane bushings and is riding on
Koenig Rewind 15 inch wheels and Nitto NT 450 205 55R 15's. This
car drives straight and true. Everything works with the exception
of intermittent rear defrost and low fuel level warning light. Dash
and console are in perfect condition. Original Datsun Hitachi Am-Fm
radio with working retractable antenna. Very honest and respectable
car. Other recent work. New injector harnesses, newer battery,
intake manifold refreshed, new carpet, new seat covers and foam,
new fuel pressure regulator. Please Note The Following **Vehicle
