This 1987 Dodge RamCharger LE is a great looking vehicle that spent
its life in California before coming to Michigan in 2017 where it
was used as a summer toy for the last 4 years. This is an extremely
clean truck and is probably the cleanest ramCharger we have had. It
has an awesome paint scheme and an aggressive stance. The miles of
127,023 are believed to be original and the clean Carfax supports
this. The body on this RamCharger is excellent! No rust issues with
this truck ever and the body is straight. It was repainted at one
point in its original colors of Charcoal Gray Poly and Burnished
Silver Poly. The paint looks excellent and it appears everything
was removed and/or taken apart when it was painted. All of the
chrome is also really nice. The interior on this Dodge looks to be
original. It is really hard to tell if it is all 100% original, but
it looks excellent and it may have been redone at some point
because of how nice it looks. All of the gauges, lights, blinkers,
wiper, horn, and heat are working. It has power windows and locks
which are also working. The only items that did not work were the
Cruise and the AC was not blowing cold.
Mechanically this truck runs and drives great! The original 360V8
runs strong and we found no issues or red flags. The engine is
stock with exception of rebuilt carb, Headers, and Dual Exhaust.
The transmission is the 727 Automatic that shifts nice and it is
mated to the np208 Transfer Case. The 4WD works like it should.
Rear Axle is a Chrysler 9.25 and Front Axle is a Dana 44 and they
both have 3.21 Gears. The truck was lifted when it was purchased in
2017, and the last owner replaced it last year with a new lift
because he was not happy with the original one. It drives down the
road nice. He also added new wheels and it has some BFG 33 Inch All
terrains.
