Vehicle Description
This 1967 Chevrolet Camaro is a true RS/SS convertible that has
been under long-term care with the same owner for most of its life.
That's how you get a numbers-matching V8 car that has been given
the right attention and investments to stay a true stunner over
half a century later.
The slick coat of factory-correct Marina Blue paint has an awesome
shine. This is a product of professional respray in 2019. In fact,
that's a significant year in this Camaro's history, because it has
the same owner from 1969 to 2019. How many cars do you know have
had a 50-year history with one-owner? Even the odometer is believed
to reflect actual mileage, averaging less than 1,400 miles
annually. And while you'll love to tell this car's tale it's also
desirable for being a terrific Camaro. After all, great care also
delivers a car with terrific lines and plenty of shining chrome.
This is a real Super Sport, and so you get the right badging, vent
trim hood, and full-width rear spoiler. And since this is a Rally
Sport, too, you have the awesome hidden headlight front end. That
full blackout grille goes great with the black D91 stripe and
well-fitting black canvas soft top for an almost two-tone like
appearance.
With the flip of a switch, the roof powers down to reveal the
factory-correct deluxe black interior. So you have a premium style
that still coordinates with the exterior accents. And we love the
little things this upper-end look provides, like headrest and the
cool/classic white inserts. In fact, you're going to love showing
off all the vintage rarities, like the GM tissue dispenser and a
clean trunk with classic spare tire. More than just a car for
admiring, an RS/SS drop-top like this was made for driving. That's
why you have bucket seats up front. In-between is a center console
with auxiliary gauges. The steering wheel has that great classic
grippy feel, and beyond that, you have the sporty speedo and tach
package.
Under the hood is the numbers-matching 350 cubic-inch V8. And with
such a significate powerhouse, it's great to see it in such a tidy
and correct display. The clean and bold orange motor has all
evidence of being cared of, including fresh hoses, belts, and
wires. This was even given the right larger maintenance items
during its long-term care, including a rebuilding the Quadrajet
four-barrel carburetor in 2008 and rebuilding the Powerglide
automatic transmission in 1993. The V8 fires up nicely, as it lets
out a low growl from the dual exhaust. And it's going to be hard to
resist adding to the odometer with good anytime driving features
like power steering, power brakes, and modern ZR-rated tires
afforded by the upgrade to polished Torq Thrust wheels.
The sale comes complete with the original warranty card and owner's
manual. This is a cherished classic that shows its quality in the
details, right down to the smooth action of the RS headlight doors.
