Vehicle Description
1973 Porsche 911E For Sale -Factory Comfort Equipment Package, Air
Conditioning LMC is very proud to offer for sale this 1973 Porsche
911E The 1973 model year proved to be the swan song for the
much-loved long-hood second-generation Porsche 911 first introduced
in 1969. The choices in 1973 were three-fold; the base 911T, the
intermediate 911E and the high-horsepower 911S. In terms of sales
volume, both the 911T and the 911S were the most popular choices of
the buying public. However, there were those discriminating Porsche
connoisseurs who appreciated the 911E for its superlative torque
curve that provided faster acceleration up to 70 MPH than both the
911T and the high-performance 911S. The 911E demonstrated strong
low- to mid-range torque compared to that of the 911S that found
its stride in the upper RPM range past 5,000. This made the 911E a
favorite among automotive journalists who often did side-by-side
driving comparisons of the 911T, 911E and 911S. Built in April
1973, this 911 E is finished in striking dark green metallic over
black partial leather interior. This example retains its numbers
matching 2.4 liter flat six-cylinder engine and its numbers
matching 5-speed manual transmission which is extremely important
to any Porsche collector. Well-equipped including air conditioning,
heated rear window, forged alloy wheels, Koni shocks, stabilizer
bars f/r, reinforced seat- left, rear window wiper, manual antenna-
left w/ front loudspeaker & noise suppression, comfort equipment
and Michelin tires. The optional "Comfort Equipment" is essentially
the "S" appearance package which included the "S" front spoiler,
15x6 Fuchs wheels, and sill plates. Included in the sale is the
Porsche COA, tool roll, and jack. Rare, desirable, and commonly
regarded as the best of the 2.4-liter models for road use, this 911
E is a great spec with the right equipment! Additional Details:
