For Sale: 1990 Cadillac 4-Dr Sedan in Jefferson, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

This car was purchased new at Bob Werner GM in Sheboygan, WI by an older couple from the same town.  They had the Gold Key Delivery.  It was always serviced by the same Technician at Werner GM.  When the Gentleman passed, the Lady continued to drive the car until she passed.  She willed the car to the Werner technician that took care of it for her.  A big car like this is not for everybody.  He didn’t have the garage space to properly house the car, so he put it up for sale.  For all practical purposes, this is a one owner car.

You will still see the Bob Werner dealer decal on the rear of the car.  The Owner’s Manual includes the warranty card, Gold Key car, dealer employee business card and the dual set of Gold Keys.  There are two original sets of keys and both have the dealership fob.

This car was built in Arlington, TX.  It is nicely equipped.  The SPID decal is beneath the deck lid.  I have decoded it and the many options are just what you would like on a Cadillac.

The engine is a 307 Oldsmobile V8.  I am an Oldsmobile lover and feel that this is superior to the Chevrolet 5.0 liter engine.  The transmission is the reliable 200R4 overdrive automatic.  When you couple it with the 2.73 rear axle gear ratio, you will get great fuel mileage.  The car rolls on near-new Hankook 225/75R/15 whitewall tires.  This car is a Cruiser.  However, it is not going to provide great acceleration.  It rides great on Soft Ride Suspension.

Of course it has power steering and brakes.  The brakes are Anti-Lock, with the fronts being disc.  It has Climate control and the air conditioning has been converted to 134a Freon.  It also has Cruise Control, Tilt steering column, Power windows and locks, Dual remote outside mirrors, Headlight Sentinel, Intermittent wipers and Power trunk release.  Both seats are 6-way power, plus power reclining.  There are map lights in the front and reading lights in the rear.  Both vanity mirrors are illuminated.  The stereo is AM/FM/Weather/Cassette with front and rear speakers.

The Dark Maple Metallic paint is original and very nice.  I do not see a single dent, ding, scratch or touched up area on the car.  The vinyl top is matching and in great condition.  There are body side moldings.  The simulated wire wheel covers look nice.  The bumper fillers are in great condition, as are the bumpers.

The upholstery is also Dark Maple and it is immaculate.  The carpet is original and very nice.  The original set of Cadillac Crest embossed floor mats are still in wonderful condition.  The interior is very close to perfect, with the only flaw being split vinyl on the driver’s door arm rest.

I don’t believe the trunk has ever been used.  The upholstery, carpet and mat are in perfect condition.  The mini-spare is brand new and covered with the original cover.  The jack has never been removed from it storage area.

All features function properly with exception of the power antenna.  It is obvious that this car was well cared for and maintained.  It certainly was garage kept.  The weather seals are still supple.  The top is mint.

I can’t imagine that this car was winter-driven, but it is possible.  There is no rust on the body.  The original paint is not showing even a blister.  The under carriage has the typical surface rust, but is not rotted.  The humidity and sweating are certainly a cause of chassis surface rust.  I have a hunch this car has been through the car wash many times.

This is the last year of the carbureted engine in the full-sized rear wheel drive Cadillacs.  The front end was changed in 1990 to keep up with Lincoln.  The dash for 1990 is digital.  If you wanted to make a statement and liked GM cars, this was the car to do it with.

This car has lead a nice life.  It had great care and when it needed maintenance, the same Technician did the work.  I hope you are willing to offer it the same level of love and care.  It is deserving.
