This is a very well maintained Thunderbird that retains its
original charm while also benefiting from several modern updates
that make it easy to live with today.
The modern features this car has are: modern air conditioning
system which is fully operational, Edelbrock intake manifold with
new carburetor, electronic ignition for easier starting and more
economical operation. The Thunderbird was built in 1964 at the
Wixom Michigan Assembly plant (also where they built Lincolns) with
the following equipment: 390 CID / 300 HP, V8 engine three speed
automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes, power
windows, power door locks, "swing-a-way steering wheel," special
interior lighting package, and seat belts.
The Thunderbird received a comprehensive restoration in 2010 and
more recent updates are documented in the receipts accompanying the
car.
This Thunderbird presents well with very good paint and chrome
quality, the body gaps are good and consistent and no rust is
evident.
The 4 place Bird runs and drives as great as it looks with a smooth
luxury ride for comfortable cruising and good performance. It is
reliable and can easily keep up with today's traffic.
