Vehicle Description
A high-quality car built by Roger Burman of Lakeside Rods & Rides,
this Resto-Mod is an all-steel customized 1955 Bel Air convertible
that has won many awards (not included). The laser-straight body
has been painted Sunset Orange Metallic with True Black and every
seam - including door handles and locks - has been smoothed. All
stainless, chrome and brightwork has been refinished or replaced.
The upholstery is black leather with Stingray inserts, and the dash
and console were hand-fabricated out of steel. This Bel Air is
powered by a fuel-injected 502ci 8-cylinder big-block Chevy Ramjet
engine mated to a 4L60E 4-speed automatic transmission and rides on
20- and 18-inch Colorado Custom wheels. It's equipped with electric
windows and power top, remote-controlled stereo system and air
conditioning. The custom-fabricated tube chassis has great detail,
and features stainless exhaust and a 4-link rear suspension
equipped with a Currie Enterprise rear differential. Air Ride
Technologies bags allow for a ground-scraping profile. This '55
Chevy has only been shown on occasion and has been kept in a
private collection.
