Vehicle Description
This 1970 C10 stepside was built over a five-year period. The
professionally machined and assembled 350ci 8-cylinder engine with
4-bolt mains was bored .040 over, and has Mahle pistons and rings
with a mild COMP Cams .454/.444 lift and 268/260 duration with
stock rebuilt heads. It is topped by a Weiand 144 supercharger and
is fed by a FiTech Go EFI designed for blown applications. It has
ceramic-coated long tube headers, 2.5-inch Flowmaster exhaust and
an aluminum radiator with dual Derale electric fans controlled by
the FiTech ECU. The stock TH400 automatic transmission has a
standard rebuild and sends power through a rebuilt stock 12-bolt
rear end with 3.73 gears. The brakes were converted to four-wheel
stock GM-style discs, and the booster and master cylinder were
relocated under the dash to clean up the engine bay. A 17-gallon
fuel tank was relocated to the rear under the frame. The suspension
uses CPP springs, shocks and drop spindles for a 5-inch static
drop, and all bushings and joints were replaced with OE
replacements. All vehicle wiring was replaced with a Painless
wiring harness. The fully custom interior features Classic
Instruments Autocross series gauges, smoothed dash, custom console,
fabricated door panels and kick panels, professionally installed
leather upholstery, and modern features such as heated seats, USB
ports and Android stereo with 10.1-inch screen and Bluetooth. The
white oak bed wood was stained Barn Red, the engine was painted
Dodge Viper red and the body and full engine bay painted Dodge
Granite Crystal Gray.
