Vehicle Description
This 1949 Ford F-1 Restomod is an awesome kind of custom pickup
that takes Ford's classic commanding appearance, and then adds in
solid V8 power, an overdrive transmission, a comfy A/C interior,
four-wheel disc brakes, a terrific paint theme, and much more. With
a quality build like this, you won't want to miss out.
The Ford F-1 has an iconic style, but this one also instantly
announces it's something quite unique. It got a smoother style with
the one-piece steel front end, flush-fitting Kindigit spoon door
handles, and a custom rear roll paint with integrated taillights.
There's even a flush-fitting hard tonneau cover that power opens
from a switch on the dash. And the sleekest part of this truck may
just be the paint. The cream and minty green strike the right
balance of a classic two-tone combo but with a modern shine.
There's even a distinct orange pinstripe to give it a clean
dividing line. And we love how the look of sporty and vintage come
together on the wheels. You have wide performance tires and a
lowered stance, but the cream steel wheels with classic-style
two-piece trim keep its eye on history.
The interior continues the feelings of vintage and upgraded,
including plenty of premium added into the mix. It starts with the
seats that carry the exterior's two-tone, and there's even orange
piping. The carpeting, door panels, dash, and headliner all
harmonize with the cream for a thoughtful and uniform total
presentation. Items like the door panels and dash show off the
truck's vintage flair, but there's also well-integrated features
great for modern times. It includes an AM/FM stereo w/CD changer,
center armrest, power steering, and cold-blowing R134a air
conditioning. The steering wheel has a classic banjo style with the
Ford V8 logo in the middle. But it's a modern sports unit mounted
on a polished tilt column. This gives you a clear view to the full
Dolphin gauge package.
The engine bay continues this truck's well-coordinated attitude.
You have cream inner walls and on the engine, and there's a green
air grabber in the center. And there are cool details like the
orange pinstriping and green accenting on the valve covers. The
investment in this powerhouse is more than just cosmetic. You have
Ford's famous 5.0-liter V8, and there was $4k invested in 2015 to
rebuild this motor. There are the right supporting components, too,
like Ford racing plug wires, steel braided lines, a billet
serpentine belt system, and an aluminum radiator w/electric fan. It
inhales deeply with a Weber four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales
out of a side-exit dual exhaust that was updated in 2018. As you
look underneath, you'll spot a clean chassis, and upgrades like the
tubular A-arm independent front suspension. And there are more
great driver upgrades, like the four-speed automatic transmission
w/overdrive, Ford Explorer rear end, and four-wheel power disc
brakes.
The sale comes complete with build receipts, a large instruction
book, service manuals, and restoration photos. This is the iconic
Ford built for added admiration, comfort, and all-around driving.
