Toyota Land Cruiser HJ61 features a 4.0L Turbo Diesel with a 5
speed manual transmission originally delivered to France. The
previous owner lived in the dry Aquitaine region of France on the
boarder of Spain. He had many memories and this Land Cruiser was
'his baby'. We have a large stack of service records documenting
its extensive build and maintenance history. The truck is finished
in white with black front buckets seats and lots of character
throughout. This Land Cruiser is in the exact aesthetic condition
as we purchased it and no other off-road or performance
modifications have been performed under our ownership. We have
completed a full check of this Land Cruiser and performed all
necessary maintenance. The HJ61 is now ready for its next
adventure.Power comes from a 4.0-liter turbo diesel paired with a
5-speed manual transmission, two-speed transfer case, and manual
front hubs. The workhorse 12H-T is a 12 valve 4.0 L (3,980 cc)
straight-6 OHV turbocharged direct injection diesel engine is
typically reserved for Toyota's commercial applications due to its
reliability and plentiful torque. Premium equipment includes power
windows, power locks, cruise control, tilt wheel, rear defrost,
rear wiper, and center console. The factory stereo and speakers
have been replaced with a Clarion CZ500E head unit and Alpine
E-type component speakers in the front doors. The large Toyota
diesel easily turns the 33x12.50 General Grabber AT2 tires. The
overlanding build started in 2014 with the order of a fiberglass
pop-up roof from Sarl Roy Creations at a cost of approximately
$9000 not including installation. At that time the rear seats were
removed to make way for built-in storage and bunk. The winter of
2014 must have been cold as the receipts show in November of 2014 a
Webasto Air Top Heater was ordered. Later in March 2015 a water
holding tank with electric pump was custom fitted. The 40mm lift
and sway bars is a combination of proper components installed in
spring of 2015. The lift parts include new leaf springs, top dog
shocks, steering stabilizer, greaseable extended lift shackles, and
greaseable pins. A few months later in July 2015 the Winchmax
wireless 13000lb winch was mounted up front.Recent maintenance
records show work including 6 fuel injectors, brakes, belts,
exhaust manifold, rear main seal, rebuilt ring & pinion, rear drive
shaft, clutch, hubs, pilot bearing, wheel bearings, and radiator
hoses.Upgrades and FeaturesCustom Fiberglass Popup Camper
