Stunning and Rare 1970 Maserati Ghibli Spyder Factory 5-speed with Matching Numbers: One of Just 125 Built This gorgeous 1970 Maserati Ghibli Spyder with factory 5-speed is a matching numbers example and one of just 125 factory original Ghibli Spyders produced. Equipped with Borrani wire wheels, original 5-speed, and power steering. A cosmetic restoration was performed in 2015 consisting of new Argento Auteuil paint, deep red leather interior by Bridge of Weir Leather Co, Wilton carpeting, and correct leather on dash fascia. New black soft-top canvas convertible top. During this time, all aluminum and chrome trim was replated and polished as well. Body panels have excellent fit and glass is original and in very good condition. Optional chrome wire wheels are present and excellent, with new Michelin XWX tires. Convertible top is nicely done, fits well and in good condition. The Ghibli runs and drives superb. The 4.7 liter engine sounds and runs excellent with very good compression and oil pressure. This is a late series Ghibli with the desirable 42DCNF Webers and late style brake booster and interior layout. The ZF 5-speed gearbox shifts well with clutch and synchros working properly. The suspension has new bushings and the brakes pads have plenty of life. The optional power steering is a must on the Ghibli and makes it much easier to drive at low speeds. Overall the engine compartment is detailed and excellent with proper Jubilee stainless steel hose clamps used throughout. These cars have become almost impossible to find and this particular example has clearly been lovingly maintained.
