Vehicle Description
Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1991 Land Rover Defender
90, a left-hand-drive Italian-market example which recently
underwent a frame-off restoration and a complete drivetrain
rebuild. This truck was fully disassembled and stripped down to the
chassis for a nut-and-bolt restoration; finished in Keswick Green,
paint quality is excellent over a straight body with zero rust
issues (we have extensive photos documenting the restoration).
Nicely appointed throughout with 18-inch wheels wearing BF Goodrich
all terrains, H4 headlights, LED turn signals, brake lights and
parking lamps (plus an updated front bumper with integrated
lights).
Interior presents beautifully with custom-stitched dash, door
panels and seat upholstery - plus new carpets and a wood steering
wheel. All gauges, switches, lights, etc. are, of course, working
as they should. The original instrument cluster was retained,
showing 338,000 kilometers (which converts to approximately 210,000
miles) - although given the extent of the restoration, mileage is
essentially zero. Per the included British Motor Vehicle Heritage
Trust Certificate, this D90 was delivered new in Italy where it
spent its entire life before being restored by a shop in
northeastern Italy between Venice and Trieste.
Under the hood is Land Rover's 200Tdi turbocharged direct-injection
Diesel mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Engine,
transmission, transfer case, axles and most suspension, steering
and brake components were rebuilt or replaced. This Defender runs
and drives as a new - and looks great while doing so. Recently
imported and offered for sale for the first time in the U.S. - sold
on a clean and clear Georgia title. If you're in the market for a
restored and fully-turn-key D90, this one (or its stable mate, our
1992 D90 in black) merits a closer look. For more information about
