Redesigned just the model year before, the 1967 Chevelle sported a
sleek and muscular shape that was an instant hit with Chevrolet
buyers. Typical for Chevelle, the aggressive body work covered the
potent engine underneath. The thundering power plant of this 1967
Chevelle Super Sport is the legendary 396 cubic-inch big-block that
produced a forceful 325 horsepower. With its numbers-matching
engine mated to the renowned Powerglide automatic transmission and
sturdy 12-bolt rear axle this Chevelle Super Sport is all about
performance. The dual exhaust sounds incredible and the factory
manual steering keeps the retro-cool dog-dish hubcapped wheels on
redline tires pointed in the right direction. On the exterior it is
hard not to stare at the stunning Emerald Turquoise paint or
gleaming chrome bumpers and stainless-steel trim - all in
remarkable original condition. Inside the cabin of the Super Sport
is the equally stunning black bucket seat interior equipped with a
center console that houses the automatic transmission shifter and
clock. The interior of the vehicle is in great shape and still
contains most of the original components. The only departure from
factory stock is the Vintage Air A/C system that was added to keep
things cool on those hot summer days. This is one of those cars
that looks even better the longer you look at it. From top to
bottom, this Chevelle SS has every detail carefully worked out and
performs just as good as it looks. Refurbished by MotorWeek's
resident master technician Pat Goss at Goss's Garage nearly every
part system of the Chevelle was carefully refurbished or replaced
including the fully overhauled drivetrain and transmission. The
Super Sport was just recently acquired from its original owner who
for over 53 years lovingly cared for the coupe. Included in the
documentation is the original Protect-O-Plate, original Owner's
Manual as well as several service receipts - some dating as far
back as 1967! Here is your chance to own a piece of big-block
Chevelle history that is ready for show or go! Stock Number: HC3043
