Vehicle Description
1978 Datsun 280z - Highly Modified The time has come for someone
else to drive and enjoy this car. I built this car as something I
could drive anywhere and be competitive in several arenas. It was
designed to turn, but goes pretty good in a straight line also.
This car was originally a California car, and over the years I have
removed / repaired all the rust I have found, which wasn't much.
The paint is an older single stage, which looks good overall but is
far from perfect. The dash was fixed about 10 years ago, but has
since cracked. The car has made 695 HP / 705 TQ on a mustang dyno.
E85 and 20# of boost. At this power level it has been through the
quarter at 9.7x at 150mph with a 1.40 60'. Several changes have
been made since this, and I believe it would go low 9's with some
work. Or, throw a glide in it and go run in the 8's. The Datsun is
your oyster. This car is an absolute gas to drive and turns a lot
of heads. For the right price, I will include the pictured Datsun
trailer which sits on a custom frame and torsion axle. It is very
light, and pulls well behind the car (YES, it has a trailer hitch!)
