Vehicle Description
1965 DODGE CORONET C-822 The Coronet is an automobile that was
marketed by Dodge as a full-size car in the 1950s, initially the
division's highest trim line. A coronet is a small crown consisting
of ornaments fixed on a metal ring. The Coronet reappeared for this
5th generation 1965 model year as the intermediate sized B-body
using a 117-inch wheelbase, continuing what had been the Dodge
Polara, which was once again full-size. For 1965, Dodge sold
slightly over 209,000 units, making the Coronet the most popular
model sold by Dodge that year. Trim levels initially were base
Coronet including a Deluxe version, Coronet 440, and Coronet 500.
The Coronet 440 was available as a two-door hardtop, convertible,
or station wagon. Coronets were manufactured at Chrysler's Los
Angeles assembly plant and at Lynch Road assembly plant in Detroit
and St. Louis plant in Missouri. Talk about a muscle car feel! This
particular car is a rare 1965 Dodge Coronet 440 convertible with
white convertible power top, 4-speed manual transmission, Posi-trac
rear end, and 426ci big block V8 under the hood with chromed out
valve covers and air cleaner. It's a rust free, original panel car.
The car looks great and turns heads with its deep black paint with
Teal accent stripe running down the trim and Teal blue bench seat
interior. It looks as clean underneath as it does on top. It starts
right up every time and is in excellent mechanical shape. It also
comes with dark teal blue carpet, the original Coronet steering
wheel, dual exhaust, and Edelbrock 4-barrel carburetor. To get all
that big block power down on the street, the Retro Brand Torq
Thrust style wheels complement its BFGoodrich g-Force Comp-2 A/S
tires (Front: 225/50 ZR17, Rear: 275/40 ZR17). The odometer reads
91,729, with true mileage unknown. Believed to be numbers matching
car and is definitely period correct according to the fender tag.
Period correct power train with excellent power & performance!!! If
you love the stock look of these cars then all you need to do is
drive it. ***If you are viewing this on Facebook Marketplace, be
