Real SS 396 with #s matching motor! It has code 138 in the vin. I
put 55 miles on this car last Sunday and it was great! It performed
and functioned exactly as it should.
**The motor is currently being professionally rebuilt, it will be
brand new for the buyer!
EXTERIOR: This is one sexy car. It's got a beautiful color, stance,
chrome wheels and no vinyl top. The body is in excellent shape. I
just wiped it down and didn't find any bubbles, rust or damage. The
color is absolutely stunning. It has a lot of metal flake which is
laid out evenly, the clear coat finish is polished to a very high
gloss. Upfront it looks like the bumper, grill and trim have been
replaced. It has new gutter trim, bowie mirrors, hood grills, and
handles. New windshield. The windows are clear and fit nice. The 18
inch chrome rally wheels sparkle but are not new. The performance
tires do look new, still has nubs on the tread.
INTERIOR: Factory in dash gauges and a custom tachometer on the
column. The retro stereo has aux plugs. Steering wheel chrome looks
new. The seats have new cushions, upholstery and trim. The door
panels, armrests and handles look new. The rear shelf area is
clean, it has factory style speaker grills. The carpet was
replaced, it has reproduction floor mats.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The vin # on the engine match the car. It is
the original 396 with optional 350 hp. It has a big dual feed
Holley carb, MSD ignition and a set of headers. The upgrades bring
it up closer to 400 hp. Dressed up with a sharp set of finned valve
covers. It features a new power brake system with cadmium plated
booster. It also has power steering with the correct remote
reservoir. New alternator and horns. The radiator, shroud, fan and
hoses look new, it has reproduction clamps. There are also
reproduction spring clamp battery cables, the battery is securely
in place. The engine bay is clean smooth metal with a nice satin
black finish.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Solid metal trunk was soatrer painted. The
bottom of the lid and jamb are painted smooth and glossy. It has a
apare and jack. New weather strip.
UNDERSIDE: It has an upgraded sport suspension with lowering
springs, Edelbrock gas shocks, fatter sway bars and boxed rear
control arms. The front end is completely rebuilt- ball joints,
bushings, shocks etc. Bottom of the motor still looks new, you can
see fresh freeze plugs, starter, fuel pump and chrome flywheel
cover. There is an extra capacity chrome pan on the Turbo 400
automatic. In back is a correct 12-bolt rear end with 3.31 posi
gears and a chrome cover. The fuel system looks like it's been
replaced. The exhaust system has been replaced. It has upgraded
Wilwood disc brakes in front with drilled and slotted rotors.
Emergency brake cables look new. The floors look clean, very
solid.
