Vehicle Description
This is a split-bumper 1971 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS 396 tribute, and
you get to control the strong big block power with
four-on-the-floor. And because you get to enjoy this stout Chevy
from the comfort of an A/C interior, you already know your muscle
machine fantasies start here.
These earlier examples of the second-generation Camaro already have
all the right look to get your enthusiast heart pumping. The
factory-correct Cranberry Red is a great color to have for
boldness, and this was refreshed later in life to retain a good
gloss. You have straight sheetmetal and an overall nice look. It's
nothing too fancy, because this one really revels in being a street
machine. After all, the upgrade to the ionic RS split-bumper
creates an intimidating front end that it looks like it will inhale
the traffic ahead. And the big blackout grille goes nicely with the
black racing stripes painted on top of this coupe. The chin
spoiler, bright dual exhaust tips, full-width rear spoiler, the
Z/28-style gunmetal gray Rally wheels are all part of this Camaro's
confident performance style.
Inside, this coupe shows off even more of its dark side with the
factory-correct black interior. It's a solid presentation that has
a correct and clean look throughout. Even the Delco AM/FM radio is
still cranking out the tunes. You'll have to look closely for the
upgrades, but they are worthwhile. It's everything from newer
carpeting to a Vintage Air air conditioning system. And of course,
the driver is king in this Camaro. You have nice factory pieces
like front bucket seats, a center console, and the grippy NK4
sports steering wheel on a tilt steering column. This is joined by
the upgraded Hurst shifter that has a bold white cue ball topper to
call out to your right hand in all the interior's darkness.
The engine bay is filled with big block power. It's a 396/402
cubic-inch V8 rebuilt with a bored .30 over kit. This powerful
package also looks quite tidy thanks to a solid investment in
plenty of new components. It includes the intake, braking system,
alternator, steering box, radiator, complete fuel system with a new
gas tank and steel braided lines. That's what makes for a strong
and confident powerhouse. The big block inhales deeply with a
Rochester Quadrajet four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales with a
powerful rumble from the Flowmaster dual exhaust. You have complete
control over this enhanced V8 and its growl thanks to the
four-speed manual transmission. When you look underneath, you'll
see a clean presentation that includes investments in a new front
end, stainless brake lines, and new shocks. So driving confidence
really goes to the core of this coupe. Plus, you've got great
cruising features, like power steering, power brakes, front
discs.
This Camaro RS/SS 396 tribute has the right look, sound, and
overall attitude for a confident driver. So we know it won't stay
long in our showroom. Don't miss out, call today!
