For Sale: 2010 Chevrolet Camaro in Ft Worth, Texas

Vehicle Description

You folks already know all about SLP and their upgrades for the F-body, so this 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SLP ZL575 should pique your interest. The guys who built some of GM's fastest Camaros and Firebirds rolled out their own supercharged beast, and with just 1717 actual miles, it remains a time capsule that's sure to be a future collectable.

They built 500 ZL575s in 2010, half with automatics and half with the 6-speed manual like this vivid Blue Green Metallic coupe, which actually started life as a black car like many of them did. For the most part, SLP left the already awesome Camaro bodywork alone, preferring to let the hardware do the talking. Of course, the Camaro SS was already pretty nasty to begin with, and painting it this high-impact shade of blue-green and wrapping the hood scoop, roof, and ducktail spoiler in carbon fiber certainly makes a statement. SLP added a special hood with a ram-air scoop at the leading edge, and SS grille badge, quarter panel "gill" inserts, and spoilers up front and in the rear that are a bit more aggressive than the originals. And to take things even further, this SLP is also equipped with the RS appearance package, which can be most easily spotted via those unique tail lamps. With so few miles, obviously this one is in near-showroom condition and it has never been raced or abused, so there are no scuffs on the chin spoiler and the ground effects haven't been blasted by gravel and road debris. Finish quality on these cars right out of the box was pretty darned good, and obviously you won't have to worry about trouble hiding underneath, because it's never even seen rain. Nasty fast and super clean? Where do I sign up?

The interior looks like it's still sitting in the Chevrolet dealer's showroom with exactly zero signs of use. Even the black leather and houndstooth upholstery is unmarked, leaving us wondering if the driver wore a hazmat suite before ever entering the vehicle. Everything that was opulent was standard as well, so you get powerful climate control, power windows, locks, mirrors, and driver's seat, cruise control, a tilt/telescoping steering column, foldable rear seat, center console, and a whole bunch of other stuff that makes the Camaro feel more luxurious than you'd expect. Aside from some embroidery on the head rests and a badge on the dash, the SLP guys left the interior alone; after all, it's excellent just the way the factory did it. Factory instrumentation includes cool little auxiliary gauges on the console, just like back in the '60s, and there's a digital information screen between the two main dials. A powerful Boston Acoustics 9-speaker stereo system with AM/FM/AUX/Satellite compatibility sounds awesome, and this car is a lot more civilized than you'd expect given the performance potential living under the hood. There's even a good-sized trunk out back, so a Power Tour can easily be endeavored.

SLP really went to work under the hood, where you'll find a 6.2 liter LS2 V8 topped by a supercharger that raises output to 575 horsepower and a staggering 550 pounds of torque. Yeah, no kidding. Thanks to SLP's long relationship with GM as an OEM, the engine bay looks like the factory built it that way and the driving manners are quite docile, indicative of careful tuning. The SLP cars also received a custom exhaust system that has a very distinctive bark and those giant 4-inch exhaust pipes poking out the rear valence, so nobody will mistake it for something else. The suspension was upgraded with custom sway bars and upgraded springs that lower the car about an inch, and everything works together to give the car a reported 190 MPH top speed. This car also features the $6485 Brembo brake package, which was the lone option on the SLP ZL575 and given that top speed figure, it's probably money well spent. A dramatic set of 20-inch wheels finish off the look, and they're wrapped with 245/45/20 front and 275/40/20 rear Pirelli radials that stick to the pavement.

Fast, rare, and beautifully finished, this is tuner car done right. As docile as a stocker but as mean as a ZR1 Corvette, this is an incredible amount of performance for a surprisingly reasonable price. Call today!
