HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful blue paint with brown interior! Nice quality
restoration! Super clean top to bottom, fantastic weekend
driver!
BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and solid, and really looks
fantastic. Imperfections are at a minimum, save for a small bubble
on the passenger door, a ding on the passenger side fender and
another on the driver's side door. In both cases, you have to get
pretty close to notice them!
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: The blue paint color really makes this MG
pop, and whoever restored this car took a tasteful liberty with it
and painted the bumpers body color. This really modernizes the look
of this MGB while also giving it a more handsome appearance. The
paint has some minor scratches here and there from normal use,
typical of a restoration that has been done for a while.
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is the cherry on the cake
for this 1977 MG MGB. The brown vinyl seats and door panel are a
striking contrast against the exterior blue, and really help give
this car a unique look that is challenging to achieve with these
old MGs. The interior has been well cared for and is in great
shape, showing only minimal wear.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: This MG runs like a champ! With the classic
18l 4-cylinder with dual carbs under the hood, this MG is the buzzy
little sports car it has always been intended to be. The engine
runs great, the 4-speed transmission shifts as it should, even the
push button overdrive works! Just like the rest of the car, the
engine bay and underside are almost clean enough to eat off of. New
items in the last 3 years include stainless exhaust, fuel tank,
timing chain, various suspension components, new calipers & rotors,
new rear wheel cylinders, and new stainless braided brake lines.
Additionally, this car has had over $800 worth of maintenance
performed in November, 2020 including brake servo service.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The uncommon color combination,
unique look, and the overall cared-for condition.
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: The lack of heat and a radio
may be a turn-off for some motorists, but there's truly not much to
dislike.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Only if you want heat and music! This car
was not fitted with a radio when restored, and the heater core has
been disconnected and drained to prevent leakage when not in
use.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for an
affordable, comfortable, cool-looking cruiser should take this
little MG into consideration. You'd be hard pressed to find another
this nice!
