comfortable and competent performer. -Edmunds Edmunds expanded on
their 2016 Lexus GS350 evaluation: Boasting a refined interior,
plenty of high-tech features and class-competitive performance, the
2016 GS 350 can go toe to toe with the historically strong
competitors.... And: The GS faces off squarely against the Audi A6,
BMW 5-Series, and Mercedes-Benz E-Class... the 2016 Lexus GS
distinguishes itself as a fine all-around performer. Offered here
is a 2016 all-wheel-drive Lexus ES350 that has been well-serviced
throughout its 81,000-mile life. Lexus cars are legendary for their
reliability and longevity. The old advice buy the best-maintained
one you can find clearly applies here. The classic white exterior
shows almost no sign of age, and absolutely no indication of abuse.
Lexus styling has been called traditional, restrained, and elegant,
so it can be hard for the average citizen with a single glance to
be able to discern exactly how old these cars are. That
timelessness is evident here. The finish on the paint is uniform
with excellent gloss. Repairs from a 2019 minor front-end incident
are virtually undetectable. The trademark Lexus front-end design
(featuring bi-LED lighting for the first time), trim, emblems, and
cabin glass all show as-new condition; 5-spoke wheels are undamaged
and tires have ample tread. Interior execution has been a Lexus
trademark strength from the brand's beginning. It's evident here
with what the Edmunds writers described as: ... supple leather and
tasteful wood and aluminum trim adorning the cabin.... Up front,
the seats have a wide variety of adjustments to suit many body
types and offer support to suit hours of comfortable motoring. The
previous two owners' personal commitment to caring for this car is
obvious. Control surfaces on switches and the like, which normally
show wear, are free of scratches or almost any sign of use.
Classic, dark, burled-wood treatments add a restrained, but elegant
touch to the instrument cluster, door trim, and center console. The
leather-covered steering wheel features light-gray stitching
matching the same treatment on the console and elsewhere. The
state-of-the-art multimedia interface (including navigation)
through the large, 12.3-inch screen even features a split-screen
functionality. Charcoal carpeting throughout the cabin appears
nearly brand-new. The car's trunk, with its Lexus-branded carpet
mat, seems never to have hauled much of anything. Under the hood,
the 311 horsepower, 3.5-liter V6 engine is clean and tidy, with all
components in place. Lexus materials describe the seamless
integration of its all-wheel-drive system as: ... more than a
foul-weather friend. The system reacts instantaneously to alter the
split to as much as 50:50, depending on driving conditions, to help
optimize traction. Edmunds called the resultant GS performance as
strong and satisfying, and described the car's handling as ...
sure-footed and a reasonably willing partner on a winding road,
although this particular Lexus shows every sign that its drivers
enjoyed mostly highway miles. The more than 45 high-definition
photographs and short startup-and-walk-around video on the
GarageKeptMotors site faithfully present this Lexus sedan from
every angle. Still, to fully appreciate its many charms, we
encourage in-person, close-up inspections of this automobile at our
