Vehicle Description
1995 Chevrolet Corvette Coupe
The fourth generation of "America's Sports Car", known casually as
C4, was rolled out for the 1984 model year. Most Corvette fans are
well acquainted with the C4 cars, as they represent one of the
biggest technological leaps forward in the car's long history. For
1995, run flat tires became all the rage, but did not add any more
comfort to an already sporty ride.
For consignment, a 1995 version purchased by our consigner's
husband as his dream car. He was a lifelong GM technician, and
alway wanted one, so upon retirement he fulfilled his dream. Used
purely for enjoyment, a low mileage (35,295) convertible befitting
to enter someone else's dreams.
Exterior
All clean, sparkling and ready to celebrate, Polo 2 Green Metallic
drapes this second to last year Gen 4 model. Paint is in good
condition, and badging shows correctly. With its rubberized body
matching crash bumpers, this car is virtually devoid of any chrome,
and just badging shines brightly against the deep green. A slight
flashback to the roots of the early 50's with the front quarter
"intake" venting just behind the front wheel well. A nice tan
canvas convertible top can be lowered easily, and you can have an
open air sporty drive down the curved road. 17-inch standard
turbine style wheels are on all 4 corners.
Interior
Supple simple tan leather dominates the snazzy interior that
features a semicircular instrument panel that is digital/analog
combination and shows in orange background with black LCD digits
and lines. This all floats in a field of jet black. Controls for
power seat adjustments, a large glovebox and the shift lever are
within the console. It rises to the dash and houses the digital
radio, digital readout temp controls, a large center screen digital
display which is essentially a cluster of warning (idiot) lights.
Tan on tan makes up the matching door panels, and within the
armrest are power windows, and power locks. A tan carpeted extra
storage area is noted behind the supple buckets and offers up a
stowage for the convertible top. This interior is extremely clean
and well detailed with little to no dust.
Drivetrain
A 350ci LT-1 V8 which is electronically fuel injected and pumps out
300 horses. This car has a 6-speed ZF manual transmission and has a
3.45 rear axle.
Undercarriage
No rust, nice components, solid fiberglass tubs, and all looking
good underneath as to structure. Independent SLA forged-aluminum
upper and lower control arms and steering knuckle, transverse
mono-leaf springs, steel stabilizer bar, and spindle offset for the
front suspension and for the rear, Independent five-link design
with tow and camber adjustment, forged-aluminum control links and
steering knuckle, transverse mono-leaf springs, steel tie rods,
stabilizer bar, and tubular U-joint aluminum driveshaft. WOW!
Drive-Ability
A quick starter, and solid runner with rail like handling, neck
snapping acceleration, and quick smooth shifting for the automatic.
All functions are working fine as is also the interior is very
clean, and well detailed.
Lean green and mean can best describe this C4 convertible. Could
this be your dream car?? It will definitely be your competition's
nightmare!
