572 ci, 630 hp. Holly EFI. Tremec 5-speed. Less than 2500 miles on engine. Engine is ZZ 572 crate motor from GM Performance Division. Engine mated with heavy duty clutch and12 bolt 3.55 rear end. Car is frame-off restoration. No rust. All panels are original. This is a true Chevelle SS and not a clone. It has PS, PB and factory AC which was upgraded to the new freon. The paint is excellent and it is the original factory color of Arizona Silver with black striping on the hood and trunk. The vinal top is also in excellent condition.
The radio has been upgraded to an aftermarket Chevy look-aike with Blue Tooth and hands-free telephone and mike. There are new speakers in the door kickers and in the back window deck. There are two powered 10" Kenwood Exceleron sub-wofers in a custom box the trunk with separate volume control for the subs. They can make the care pound and shake if you decide to crank it up.
This Chevelle SS was built with a factory 454. I was told that a previous owner blew the 454 and had the opportunity to pick up this ZZ 572 from a man who ordered it and then went bankrupt and could not pay for it. The owner was able to buy the 572 for less than the original order cost. This brand new 572 crate motor could be dropped in for less cost than rebuilding the original 454, plus he had a brand new engine. I bought this car in January 2015 and have probably put less than 2000 miles on it. I have several other classic cars, thus so few miles on this one.
This engine is a "beast" that likes to roar and go fast, but with the 5-speed it is pretty reasonable on the highway in fifth gear. The Holly throttle-body fuel injection system has a digital screen inside the car that gives you instantaneous readouts on RPM, coolant temp, air intake temp, fuel-air ratio, and charging voltage. It is programmable to suit the owners driving style.
This is one classy and beautiful car. The 572 is a WOW and it gives the owner instant bragging rights. Most people have never seen a 572 and their jaws drop open when you raise the hood. This car gets lots of attention with many thumbs-up. Many people come up to look at it and talk about it everywhere I take it.
So you ask, "Why is this car for sale?" Answer, I have too many cars and my wife is really on me to free up space in the drive way and garages. I hate to admit it, but she is right on this issue. Big Grin!
