For Sale: 1970 Ford Mustang in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Beautiful real-deal 1970 Shelby GT350 in Black Jade! Shelby intake manifold! Autolite everything! Period correct 1969 engine and transmission!

BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and straight, and looks fantastic. Imperfections are at an extreme minimum, and it is clear how well-maintained this car has been. This is a great example of a 1970 Shelby!

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: This Shelby GT350 is finished in Black Jade, which has a nice, deep shine. This car does appear to have been repainted or partially restored in the past, and the paint is in great condition with minimal imperfections.

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior is complete with all Shelby goodies intact, and appears to be largely original rather than restored. Even the woodgrain rim-blow horn works properly! Sitting in this Shelby is like meeting a living legend, and it's impossible not to get excited looking out over that hood! The interior is in great condition, and the black vinyl is an excellent match to the green exterior paint.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood is where this car really shines! The engine bay looks to have had some restorative work done, and literally shines. With a correct style air cleaner, a Shelby intake manifold, a Motorcraft carb, and more, this engine bay looks just right! It even has Autolite plugs & wires, hoses, voltage regulator, coil, distributor cap, and radiator cap! The 351 V8 runs nice and smooth, and this car is a total blast to drive. While it may not be as fast as modern Shelby creations, this car has its own unique feel and drives nice and tight. Sitting on bias ply Goodyear tires and original style Koni shocks, this Shelby handles the way it would've "back in the day."

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The large amount of original and original style components.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: There's not much to nitpick here, unless green isn't your thing.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Everything is working as expected except for the original AM radio, which powers on but does not produce sound.

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Whether you're looking to start or add to a collection, this Shelby GT350 is a fantastic candidate!
