Crevier Classic Cars is pleased to offer a 2009 FORD MUSTANG IACOCCA 45TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION!
Serial #43 of 45 Lee Iacocca Silver 45th Anniversary Mustangs
On Father’s Day 2009, the father of the Mustang, Lee Iacocca, introduced the only car that has ever carried his name. Built as a collaborative effort between automotive designer Michael Leone, world-class coachbuilder Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters and southern California’s Galpin Ford, the limited-edition 2009½ Iacocca Mustang commemorated the 45th anniversary of the 1964½ Mustang, Ford’s sporty compact car that was championed by Iacocca when he was president of Ford Division in the early 1960s. No. 43 of only 45 built, this Iacocca 45th Anniversary Mustang remains essentially a brand-new car with only 138 miles. Based on the 2009 Mustang GT Coupe with a 4.6L V-8 engine and 5-speed manual transmission, Leone designed the Iacocca Edition as a true fastback with a new slippery roofline. Leone also sketched new front and rear fascias for the handsome hand-built sports car, while Iacocca hand-picked the 20-inch 5-spoke chrome wheels. All 45 Iacocca Editions were painted in a special Silver Metallic, as specified by Iacocca, and included a black interior with unique diamond-design leather upholstery along with Iacocca embroidery in the headrests. Functional equipment included the Ford Racing Handling Pack with firmer springs and dampers, Ford Racing brake upgrade kit with larger 14-inch rotors, Goodyear Eagle RS-A tires and factory options like air conditioning, Shaker 500 AM/FM/CD stereo and power windows and door locks. Like all Iacocca 45th Anniversary Mustangs, this low-mileage example comes with Iacocca Edition identification that includes a center-dash emblem, engine-compartment decal, door-sill plates and special triangular badging on the hood. Over the past 55 years, both the Mustang and Lee Iacocca have become icons in the American automotive mindset. This Iacocca Edition Mustang honors both.
