This 1973 International Scout II is a very rare find. It is a
documented 3 Owner Scout that has been very well maintained and
well documented by each owner. It spent its life in California and
we have all of the paperwork organized in a 3 Ring Binder going
back to when this vehicle was new. This is just a very cool and
mostly original low mileage Scout with working factory AC, power
steering, and power front disc brakes. And to top it off it runs
and drives amazing!! The body on this Scout is in excellent
condition. We found no evidence of rust or rust repair and it has
had a repaint in its original color of International Gold Indecent.
It is a very nice quality paint job. All of the moldings and trim
are still in great condition and it has a factory installed HD Rear
Bumper and a Dealer Installed Front Winch Bumper with a Vintage
warn 8274 Winch. The underside of this Scout is extremely clean as
well with none of the typical rust issues you would find on the
Internationals.
The interior of this scout is also in wonderful shape. It was
totally redone at some point and they added some nice Procar Seats
with the rear seat being recovered to match. The carpet, door
panels, headliner, and dash were all redone as well and the
interior looks great! We found everything working on this Scout:
all lights, gauges, heat, ac, wipers, horn...everything. It also
has the factory roll bar which is nice.
Mechanically this is a wonderful running and driving vehicle. It is
a very tight Scout. The engine is the original 304 V8 that starts
easily and runs strong and smooth with no issues. The drivetrain
has been maintained regularly and it is still stock besides the
maintenance. The transmission is the 727 Automatic Torque Flight
that shifts really nice and it is mated to the TC143 Transfer Case.
The 4WD is working as it should. The axles are Dana 44's front and
rear with 3.31 Gears and the front axle has power front disc
brakes, which is rare, and this rig also has power steering. The
suspension is a stock setup and in great condition as parts have
been replaced over the years. It sits on newer BFG All Terrains
mounted on the factory Wheels and original hubcaps. Cool
Scout!!
