This is a good looking Mustang with some desirable performance
upgrades.
EXTERIOR: The car shows really well, the blue stands out. The body
is straight and fits nice. I'm actually really impressed at how
nicely the doors and trunk closes. The paint job is just a year
old. It is not a high end $20,000 job but it shows really well.
Overall the chrome and trim is straight and shiny. In front the
bumper was replaced, the grill looks nice. It has a correct
antenna, the stainless trim around the windshield is straight, door
handles and 1/4 louvers look new. In back the gas cap is new, the
bumper was replaced, taillights look great. It has a set of 15 inch
Cragar wheels, the tires have hardly any miles on them. The white
convertible top is in good shape.
INTERIOR: It has new 2 tone upholstery that fits tight as a drum
because it also has new cushions front and back. The carpet is new.
It has seat belts front and back. The door panels look to be good
original with new armrests. There's a CD stereo and mini tachometer
below the dash. It has an original center console and even though
it's a Tremec 5-speed, it has the original style reverse lockout
shifter.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The 289 has some performance upgrades. A
polished aluminum intake and a Holley four barrel with electric
choke lets the fuel in, a set of headers let it out. It's dressed
up with new chrome valve covers, breather, air cleaner, alternator
and fuel pump. It was upgraded with a dual reservoir master
cylinder. The engine bay is painted up nicely. Things look proper,
the battery is new.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has a new plaid mat and a spare tire.
UNDERSIDE: The front end looks like it's been gone through- new
lower control arms, ball joints and upgraded sway bar. All 4 shocks
were replaced. It was upgraded to disc brakes in front with
stainless braided hoses. Looking up at the motor it is clean. The
trans is upgraded to a Tremec 5-speed. In back it has a rebuilt
rear end with a new aluminum center section and 3.55 gears. It has
a dual exhaust system. There are welded on frame connectors to
prevent body flex.
This is a good looking Mustang. It will be fun shifting those gears
with the top down!
I, Jay Grams, take pride in personally writing the descriptions for
virtually every car for about the last 30 years now. A significant
amount of effort goes into fact checking. What I am offering is my
professional impression of the vehicle.
Our salesmen are happy to assist with descriptions and making sure
your questions are answered. One great suggestion is letting us do
a walk around video that explains the car's condition in
detail.
