Vehicle Description
This 1957 Chevrolet 3100 restomod is a custom build truck with a
sleek appearance, comfortable AC interior, upgraded suspension,
overdrive transmission, and backed up by a killer big-block V8.
It's a full custom presentation over every inch (just check out the
undercarriage!) and there an awesome freshness to it all with only
about 400 miles on the whole build.
A stepside Chevy Task Force pickup is always desirable, and the
high quality custom build take this one up a notch. The Burnt
Orange Metallic paint has an amazing look even from miles away, and
the high gloss really radiates in sunshine to you get those softly
rounded curves. But that is just a nice starting point; it takes a
lot of planning and investment to get a custom classic looking as
good as this one. Up front, the bumpers and headlight bezels were
color matched and the badging was deleted. It makes smooth the
billet style grille, clear headlights, and power bulge hood the
true focal points for the first impression. And because they wanted
an extra-sleek style, they even color matched the mirrors,
smoothened the tailgate, and added a custom roll pan. With almost
all details finished in orange, it really draws attention to
remaining largest piece of brightwork: the 17 inch ARE alloy Torq
Thrust wheels. So you really take note of the great stance. But as
modern as this one gets, it still never loses that classic pickup
style of real wood on the truck bed. Of course, this glossy lumber
is just really there to help showcase all the trophies you're going
to take home.
While the exterior is all about showing off power, the custom
interior adds some comfort into the mix, too. You get supple
leather bucket seats that are nicely bolstered for all-day comfort.
The tan here coordinates with the custom door panels and headliner
for a premium style. It's a thoughtful total package with the
exterior orange returning on the dash and flowing to the custom
center console. And speaking of center console, it integrates
terrific modern conveniences. This includes, cold blowing R134a air
conditioning, power windows, cup holders, a JVC AM/FM/CD stereo
w/aux input, and there's even a push-button start. The Grant sports
steering wheel is on chrome a tilt column so that you can get comfy
and a clear view to the full digital gauge package.
Grab your sunglasses before opening the hood, because this fresh
and complete build made sure to invest big in the motor. It has the
kind of presentation where we dare you to find another component
that can be polished. And the tidy look of the metallic orange
inner fenders even reflects the motor to almost double the shine.
The callout on the valve cover tells you that beneath the flash is
the substance of a 396 cubic-inch Chevy big block. So it's like
having an SS396 truck! And just like a muscle car, there are plenty
of go-fast goodies like an Edelbrock 750 CFM four-barrel
carburetor, Edelbrock Performer intake, and long tube headers that
add even more power while contributing to the rumble of the X-pipe
Flowmaster dual exhaust. It's big power, but this is a thoughtful
total build. So you have nice extras, like the 700R4 four-speed
automatic transmission w/overdrive and an aluminum radiator to help
keep this full package running cool. The undercarriage photos love
to show off the full quality of this build. You'll also spot the
upgraded front suspension and four-link rear with diagonal link and
coilovers. When it's time to hit the road, the power steering,
power brakes w/discs up front, and the grip of modern tires all
really let you enjoy this restomod to the fullest.
