Vehicle Description
This custom-built 1969 Mustang fastback was completed by Mike
Staveski and features modern technology in the chassis, suspension
and drivetrain with the style of 1969 and 1970. It began as a solid
original 1969 Mustang fastback and utilizes a 1970 Mustang front
end and Boss 429 hood scoop. It is powered by a Ford Racing
5.4-liter crate engine featuring a Kenne Bell supercharger system
with a FAST engine management system. This is the same combination
used by Shelby in the Super Snake editions. This engine is paired
with a Shelby TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission. It has Big SSBC
front and rear brakes, both featuring drilled and slotted rotors,
and has been upgraded with an Heidts front suspension that features
both coilovers and rack & pinion steering. The engine is set back
on the front suspension to improve handling characteristics of the
car. The rear 4-link suspension is also Heidts and features
coilovers as well. It has a custom silver and black exterior
highlighted by a Grabber Blue pinstripe. Other exterior features
include shaved door handles and frenched-in '69 taillights. The
interior is completely inspired by the 2008 Shelby, including the
dash, steering column, steering wheel and seats. This Mustang
fastback features a Sony stereo system, AutoMeter gauges, power
steering, power brakes, power windows and Vintage Air heat and air
conditioning. It rides on staggered custom 19-inch front and
20-inch rear custom billet wheels wrapped on BFGoodrich tires. **
