Vehicle Description
Please take a look at this exceptionally restored '55 Cadillac
Eldorado Convertible. These magnificent bastions normally change
hands at auction when restored to this level, but the senior owner
is not up to that venue. Unlike many like this that have rust,
pitted chrome, bad leather, warped dash, etc. this has none of
that. It's not a Concours restoration with the Hartz cloth top, but
it's very close for its merits. The owner had the engine
professionally rebuilt and is documented. Any/all documentation in
his possession will accompany the sale. Silver Metallic over Black
Leather. Black Hartz Top. Black Carpet Chrome AlloyEldo Wheels.
EXTERIOR: This car really does not have any faults. Except for the
hood alignment (gaps) the panel alignment is otherwise exceptional
overall. The decklid closed slightly too hard and put a small paint
chip at the rear body panel left edge that has been touched up and
does not otherwise detract from its classy presentation. All chrome
and brightwork are in exceptional condition for this rare model.
The Paint is a deep 2-stage base/clear silver grey with no rust or
collision damage evident. The top is black, beautiful, and works as
it should. The Hartz cloth adds a touch of elegance to this classy
car but is not original vinyl, etc. Glass is in great shape and
undamaged. Wheels/Tires are fine exhibits with no curb-scrapes.
Tire White Walls can use some brightening. All exterior lighting
works as it should. INTERIOR: Black Leather Seats are perfect front
and back. The carpet is beautiful with no wear or soiling evident.
Dash pad is black, not warped, and is not damaged or split. All the
chrome and instrumentation is beautiful. Accessory 'tags' adorn the
clock and radio as when new. The odometer is believed to be
correct/unaltered, but the condition of this car seems MUCH better
than a 100-k mile example. No missing interior trim. Radio
occasionally works----sometimes not. No big deal.
