Vehicle Description
1993 Chevy Corvette Convertible marked the fourth decade of
America's sports car with a very special commemorative edition- the
40th Anniversary Edition. In the years that spanned the first four
decades of Corvette production, many esteemed American
manufacturers departed from the automotive landscape. Other brands
were founded and ran the course of their entire lifespans in that
same period. So when Corvette reached the 40-year milestone through
both feast and famine, Chevrolet saw cause to celebrate with a
special-order 40th Anniversary Package. 40th Anniversary package
was available in both standard and ZR1 models and included an
eye-catching Ruby Red Metallic exterior finish, Ruby Red leather
Sport seats, power driver seat, special wheel center trim and 40th
anniversary emblems inside and out. On convertible models so
equipped, even the folding soft top was constructed of a matching
Ruby Red material. To Corvette enthusiasts enjoying the car's
new-found performance, the 40th Anniversary Package was beautiful
icing on a very tasty cake. Standard horsepower had shot from 245
to 300 HP the previous year, followed by an increase in torque from
330 to 340 lb-ft. The Corvette's ride was refined by reducing front
wheel and tire width, and for the first time in GM history, was
offered with a passive keyless entry system. This beautiful 40th
Anniversary convertible is a remarkable example of this very
special and highly sought after Corvette. It is well equipped with
the electronic air conditioning, Delco Bose electronically tuned
AM/FM stereo with cassette and 6-way power driver's seat that
comprise Preferred Equipment Group #1, and augmented with an
optional CD player. This beautifully maintained example only shows
11,060 miles on the odometer. Always collector owned and neve used
as a commuter - this car is ready to be the centerpiece of your C4
collection. These Corvettes truly are a celebration of Corvette
history.
