Vehicle Description
This 1967 Pontiac LeMans is one of the most interesting classics
you can get your hands on right now. Not only do you get the
awesome look of a pillarless hardtop sedan, but also this has
shining paint, an A/C interior, overdrive transmission, and proper
V8 power. It all makes for a total package classic offered for
quite an affordable price.
There's a lot to love about this Pontiac. After all, there's
something extra cool about a pillarless hardtop sedan just because
that uninterrupted open air space in the middle is even larger than
on the coupes. And there just seems to be an extra elegance in the
formal treatment of the C-pillar. Not only does all of that look
cool, but it also comes on one of the best designs of the 1960s.
After all, you saw the stacked headlights and Coke-bottle curves in
the profile, and you immediately thought about the GTO. In fact,
this LeMans is done with some extra sporty style with dual hood
scoop trim, large dual exhaust tips, tinted windows, and upgraded
American Racing polished wheels. Plus, this one has an overall look
of quality with an excellent respray of its correct Cameo Ivory
paint. This joins the bright chrome bumpers, clean lines, and
delicate blue pinstriping to create a total look of performance and
panache.
The pinstripe on the outside is also a preview of the full factory
blue interior. Four doors and two rows of wide bench seats make
this sedan ready for family and friends. And they'll be quite happy
to go for a ride. After all, it's a comfortable space with newer
carpeting and a clean and complete look to the stylishly stitched
seating. There's even an AM/FM/CD stereo hidden in the glovebox for
upgraded driving music. Plus, the cold-blowing factory air
conditioning means you can roll down all the windows on this
pillarless hardtop in the summer. But even when you're just going
solo, this upgraded LeMans is a lot of fun. It's built for the
driver with a fold-down armrest for bucket-like comfort up front,
and you've also got an upgraded wood-rimmed steering wheel. The
full set of auxiliary readouts under the dash keeps you fully
informed about what's going in the engine bay.
Under the hood is proper Pontiac power. It's a 326 cubic-inch V8,
which is closely related to the V8s that were going into the GTO.
This one even has the right performance pieces, like a Quadrajet
four-barrel carburetor, upgraded intake, and long tube headers that
add power while contributing to the rumble of the dual exhaust.
It's a powerful setup, but if all you wanted was a muscle car, then
you'd be looking at a GTO. Instead, this LeMans keeps part of its
premium image with easy driving features, like power steering and
power brakes. There are also nice upgrades, like Koni adjustable
shocks, modern cruising tires, and an upgraded four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive.
The sale comes complete with the original warranty card and owner's
manual. A distinct and well-done classic is rarely this obtainable.
